Is any one watching extreme make over? They are on the wonder! Just renewed vows on CC- not far from our favorite spot!!

We're watching it. We saw when they were eating on deck that a CM was standing a little bit away to keep people away. How they got the whole pool emptied and had the jumbotron (at the same spot we sat with Vince Papale too!!!!) all to themselves, I don't know - unless they had the masses on the other side and CMs in between. Or I guess they could have just closed off what they wanted when they wanted. It is Disney! I loved it they gave her a choice of bridal gowns! Disney is so amazing!!!!! They are WONDERful!!!!!

By the time we realized it was on, it was over. Guess we'll have to watch for it in reruns. Even if I'd seen it in the listings, there was nothing that indicated anything about a Disney cruise so I probably wouldn't have watched anyway.

Boy was it cold in Massachusetts. Never got above 42 degrees. It was below zero this AM. There is still at least 1 and 1/2 feet of snow on everyone's lawn. We had two snow storms while I was there. I shoveled the steps for my father and mother. Boy was that hard work. At least I did not have to shovel the driveway. My cousin plows them out every snow storm. It was fun being with my family but I am glad I am back home. I sure missed San Antonio's wonderful weather. I am hot now. I am not usually hot. I am thawing out. Well I have alot to read to catch up. Talk to you all later. Diane

Glad you made it home safely and had a good time with your folks. You're lucky it got as high as 42*!! Another storm is expected on Wed. and we're heading to Boston! What great timing huh?

Good morning everyone...

I am getting ready to head out to work, but wanted to check in on the DIS before heading out. I didn't watch Extreme Makeover, but on February 8th, the episode will air that we helped out with. A little backstory for that episode...

The family was 2 parents and 5 kids. Their home burned down, then a couple of months later the father and the oldest son drowned in a freak swimming or boating accident. (I can't remember which). I know that the family did go to WDW for vacation while their new home was built. Elaine was in a few camera shots on the reveal day, placing objects in the house. Then she was standing behind the designers when they "moved that bus."

OK, now I have some piccies and no one is around! First, the view from our room:

Welcome home Di.

Ok, here's something novel...I have a Disney related question! Actually, it's a multi-part question:

The in-laws have expressed an interest in spending a day at WDW after the cruise. The boys are little (ages 4, 6, and 6). So, with that in mind:

-Would Magic Kingdom be the best park?
-Would it be better to buy a 1 day pass, or do MNSSHP?
-How early can you get in with the MNSSHP ticket?
-How late can you stay in the MK if you don't have a MNSSHP ticket?

Jen, will it be Saturday or Sunday? If it's Saturday it will be extremely busy especially as its 31st. If you're not worried about MNSSHP, then the boys might prefer MGM with Star Wars, toy story, indiana jones, etc. etc. But if it's Sunday the MK will be less busy.

Nice Deal on the Dress. I've been lightly shopping around for some clothes for the BOB. I'd like to find 2 matching sundresses for Laura and Leah with matching shirts for Stuart and I. It'd be even better to find them all on sale.

Happy Chinese New Year

Gung Hay Fat Choy! (may prosperity be with you)

The oldest and most important festival in China is called the Spring Festival. Many people call it the Chinese New Year. No matter what you call it, it is a time of celebration for millions of Chinese people all over the world.

The Spring Festival celebrates the Earth coming back to life and the beginning of plowing and planting. Because the Chinese use a lunar calendar, the date of the Spring Festival changes each year. It takes place at some time during the end of January or the beginning of February. This year it falls on January 26, 2009.

The Chinese calendar has a 12 year cycle and each year is named after an animal. People born in each of these years are said to have certain characteristics. The year 2009 (year 4707 on the Chinese calendar) is the Year of the Ox. People born in the Year of the Ox are said to be dependable, patient, methodical and calm, hardworking, materialistic, and ambitious.

Elaine likes us all to match and is already planning our formal night attire. I don't know what to wear for pirate night. I may just try to pick up some tropical print shirt either online or at Ron Jon's on 10/23.

I have to find a new DCL t shirt on Ebay. Mine shrunk, so I gave it to Elaine. I really liked that shirt too!
