Apparently I was when I thought I wasn't! :rotfl2:Mack and I look forward to the day we can invite the kids and their families on a cruise. With kids clubs and the fact their parents will be there, we can still hand the grandkids back! Of course maybe once we experience grandkids, we'll know more about that of which you speak, and realize it's all just a dream. :confused3

Don't get me wrong - we love our grandkids and spend a lot of time with them, but since there are 5 between 2 families it would be hard to decide who should go and we wouldn't take all 5!- not to mention how expensive it would be. They all live right here and we do a beach vacation and lots of other things. Disney is our thing and actually none of them are really into Disney (except Brandon the 19 year old).

It finally stopped snowing - Dan is out finishing the cleanup and taking pictures. The grand total for our town is 18"! It's pretty but I hope we don't have any more right away! Wishful thinking!

Hey Walt - how is Di enjoying her New England winter?!!!

NK

Enjoy your day off all yo lucky people.

Roger thanks you for all the birthday wishes. He is off to the golf course this morning.

Thanks Chris for the snow pictures. Makes me appreciate Florida a little more.

Ah, how true. But then we don't have hurricanes and tornadoes to worry about - well not too often anyway although this past summer there were some. Just wish I thought this was the last major storm of the season but alas we still have to go through Feb & March.

A very expensive dream!

Definitely expensive, but we are hoping we can do a once in a lifetime kind of thing for them - maybe more than once if we continue to buy DVC points. :thumbsup2 We are the big Disney fanatics in this family too, but I am hoping to convert the kids by capturing the grandkids' hearts! :guilty: :scratchin

THis time next week, I'll be on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom!!! :yay:

I've been busy today- I have just split our 100's of cd's into mine, his and ours piles then alphabetized them:crazy2: - we can NEVER find a cd, so this should make it easier. I'm up to 6500steps so far so doing ok:thumbsup2 - I'll hit my 8000 target today.

All I've had to eat is my 2 slimfast smoothies. Dinner tonight is spicy chicken, rice, peas and sweetcorn.

Hows everyone else doing?

Doing good here, had to remove some sn*w from my car this morning before heading to Riverwinds. I did have a nice two hour workout this morning. Riverwinds was really crowded this morning because of the holiday. I made the mistake of waiting until 7:30 to get there. I slept in until 5:30, then just took my time around the house, checking e-mails, DISing and reading the newspaper. It's back to 5am wake-up tomorrow and at the gym by 6am.

Having a mid-morning tossed salad. Lina is off with her friend Trish, they went out for breakfast, and Hazel is just waking up. I hear her talking to her sister on the bedroom phone. Hazel's niece Emily had a baby girl a little 3am this morning, that's why Hazel was on the phone with her sister.

Hi ya everyone! I promised a certain goose :thumbsup2 that I would stop in and let everyone know I am alive. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I will try and stop in more often. Stay warm out there!

Holy Smokes, a ghost from the past, and you would be...................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good morning everyone. I just got in from clearing the 5 or so inches of snow we received from the "snow showers" last evening. It's amazing, it wasn't forecast and becomes the 2nd largest snow of the season!
Christian : Welcome to winter. :) At least it's lots of fun for the kids. ::yes::
Nancy G,
That wasn't from today. I took that a few years ago when I lived in Maine. Connecticut would freak if we got that much!

Was that SAnford? What year was it?

N
Nancy K,
That was Sanford. I took those pictures shortly after we arrived home from WDW in 2/2005.

I may take pictures today just for the fun of it.

Time to head off and do something productive today.........:wave2:

THis time next week, I'll be on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom!!! :yay:

Next week at this time I will be taking a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist exam. Want to trade?:flower3: I will be there in spirit! Eat a Mickey bar for me!

Well, we are headed off to the gym, but before I go, I want to say a Happy Birthday to Roger and Cheryl!
:cool1: :cool1:

We got a pedometer in the mail from our insurance guy, so you have inspired me to put it on and see where I am in steps - then improve from there. Okay - lesson plans - I have procrastinated enough!

Good for you:thumbsup2 - I'm up to 9309 so far today so I might top 10,000 today - trying to make up for the 3000 shortfall over the weekend:rolleyes2

Karen- Did you do a holiday trip report??? I know you guys probably had a blast!

I did post loads of photos but they are on this thread and the last one.

THis time next week, I'll be on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom!!! :yay:

You lucky thing:cool1:

Does anyone know of any websites I could get maths problems from?

I'm after the sort like...

Ben bakes 60 pies.... 40 are cheese, 10 are ham, how many are tuna? etc etc

Problems rather than straight forward maths questions. Ellis has difficulty extracting the question from the text, so I want some he can practice on, but I dont know where to look.

Here are a couple of places. And you can Google "math word problems for elementary" or something similar for more.

http://www.cdli.ca/CITE/math_problems.htm

http://math-and-reading-help-for-kids.org/math_word_problems_for_elementary_students.html

http://teachers.net/lessonplans/subjects/math/

These vary in what they offer, but maybe they can help or lead you to more help.
