We had the coldest night we have had around here in 4 years, the current temp is 7* above zero. I don't know how you folks in other areas deal with the temps you have been having in the below zero's. I don't even want to leave the house today.


ETA: dropped another degree since I first posted, we are now down to 6* I really don't like this time of year.........

Yes, Paint Shop Pro...I can't get my head around it. I'll have to try photoshop. Rick took some lessons on the Alaskan Cruise and he enjoyed it.

Good morning people... oops! - nope.... good afternoon people!

Just got back from Ellis' first 2 hour karate lesson. He is now in a class with people twice his size and up to 5 belts higher than him, but he did amazingly well. There should have been at least five of them start today, but all the others bottled it and went to the easy class last night at school.... only Ellis turned up, so he was the only orange belt there. He sucked it up and got on with it and he did brilliant. The Sensei came over at the end ands said he'd done brilliantly .. He was sparing with kids 3 belts higher than him and still keeping up. I'm a proud mommy today

The only trouble is he now needs about $200 of extra kit on top of a new set of whites

I'm off to ebay to try and find some cheaper.

The other downside is that I've just sat on my *** for 3 hours and not done a single step - I have a lot of catching up to do.

I feel as if I've been a bit AWOL on here lately though I have read every post. I simply have not had the time to put in here as I would have liked. I guess that goes back to my post where I said I had to get more of a life than to have the top posts for a thread!

Congratulations to Ellis for manning-up and hitting the big class! He's the dude with the tude! The others will show their fears and be seen covering their rears - each time he enters! Go Ellis!

I hope Di is warm in Mass and having a great time! Karen - keep making those steps; it will pay off! Kathy - Congrats again on 2000!

Yuck - I just heard about the 90 yr. old man and 79 yr. old wife who sailed on Carnival Paradise last Monday who were not on the ship when it returned to port. This report said their cabin door was double locked from the inside and the balcony door was unlocked. Their belongings were still inside and appeared untouched. Too freaky! They had a "Do not disturb" sign on the door - sounds like suicide - yuck.
