kathy and Karen,

Your pictures are the only thing getting me through this winter storm nightmare. :wave2:

Want to hear a funny- they moved our server to Dallas to get it away from the hurricanes- well Dallas has had an ice storm and we are down again!!!!

Kathy,

I love your pictures, What does Frank think of you and Tink?

miscellaneous ramblings from this BOB'er...

I am still vacillating about MNSSHP after the cruise. Pete does not want to do it - and his reasons are valid:

1. He thinks we'll be too tired to do it after a 7 day vacation
2. He doesn't think it will be "enough"...meaning he wants to take Thomas to WDW for his first trip when we can go and spend several days and "do it right". (You gotta love his logic here!)
3. It is an extra expense (ticket+hotel+food+transportation) and we're probably pushing the budget on this trip already.

Heather also had a good point about the parks being busy on a Saturday...

Any more advice?

Yes!!!!
We are back on cruise with all you crazy people! We deceided that we would miss you guys too much. Glad to hear that we were missed.

Now I need to catch up with the thread.

Annette :)

Welcome back ladies :goodvibes I still have your pics for the Who's Going Page but you will have to PM/email me your info again ;)

It's a personal decision Jen, only one you guys can make.

Halloween is the only holiday I actually like and Rob also loves it and Kira likes to dress up so not only are we going on Halloween night but we are also doing it before the cruise too :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :cool1: We did it once in 2003, twice in 2005 and again in 2007 and we LOVE it!!! :cheer2: We wouldn't miss it for the world!!! :goodvibes

OOPS! Stole Joanne's FO...

Sorry Pancake Sister!

not a problem, our network keeps going up and down. I am sitting out by the pool stealing wireless again. Sent some folks home, silly to pay every one for sitting sround.

We did MSSHP the last twp years. It was fun and the rides are not as crowded. We are not dresser upers but fun to see those who are. The fireworks and the parade are well worth it.

But if it was my 6 year olds first trip, you are right- more days at a slower pace, cause you won't see everything.

I agree with Joanne there, but its still your call. We are planning to relax a bit in the afternoon at our hotel, then head to MNSSHP around 4. My kids have been to WDW before but for a "long" weekend. We hit each park once and would usually end up at MK in the evenings. DD remembers more so than DS. We are planning a big WDW trip in probably 2010 or 2011 where we will go for at least a week, so that we can "do it right."

I just got in from clearing the driveway as it is raining pretty steadily now. I wanted to get my driveway clear before it freezes back over again when the sun goes down. Then this stuff turns to concrete!

I may have to let my husband win an argument (well, discussion really)....the 2 days we had in DL were so great that I really want to spend several days in WDW when we get to go.

Jen

Personally I wouldnt do it. We were shattered after the early morning leaving the ship, and I dont think you'd get the most from MNSSHP. The plus points would be that the park woudld be less busy, but the fact that its 31st might make it busy anyway. Why not choose a different park? MGM maybe?

The bottom line is do what you feel is right. The main reason we are going is that my parents haven't been to WDW since 1996, and we want to have a quick fix all together. It just works out well for us. Last time, we all went home right after the cruise. We went to Sea World for the day since we had a 8:00 PM flight home.

Nancy, have you heard from Brenda, isn't that where they got all the ice?

I spoke with Brenda yesterday. Today they have a funeral to attend so she is not at work. :guilty:

HI everyone. I hope you are all warm and safe.

To all the KKers who still keep in touch with Lindy Loo through PM's......She asked that you not PM her anymore, well, unless it's really generic topics. She thinks she has other eyes reading her PM's.:sad2:

Her email has been invaded as well. I think she is taking care of it but it is a very sticky situation. PM me for more info.

Y'all have a great day.:)

I will repeat my previous sentiments on this situation...."Big Jerk"!!!:sad2:

Fabulous news!! I was not looking forward to getting Kira out of bed that early!! :crazy2: I remember our first 2 Disney cruises...seeing all those exhausted kids still in pj's passed out on their dad's shoulders :sad1:

I saw some "not so little kids" in their jammies too. :)

Oh my...did you get picked on?

You bet! Frank got some 'attention' from the ladies and Six Bits Slocum offered to 'make my dreams come true'!

This looked good...was it extra $$$?

Yes, it was extra, but I don't remember how much. It is only offered to concierge guests, twice a day (10 & 1) and they take a max of 14 people per tour. One of the real animal handlers conducts the tour, so they give you a lot of 'secret' information. The bus is smaller and actually pulls over in a few places so you can get pictures without bouncing. At the end of the tour, they give you an anytime Fast Pass for the regular safari and a Disney Conservation Hero button.

Kathy Girl----you are so lucky to be in Florida!!!

Bwahahahahah!

Kathy
: Now I see the curtain. Good snag on the seats girl. :thumbsup2

Actually, the concierge made the reservations. We also had an excellent table in The Wave last night, in the back section of the restaurant, not the main room. We'll see how they did with the location of our seats for La Nouba tonight. b/t/w that front row center table for the HDDR is table 13! :lmao:

Oh, that's so sweet!

Kathy,

I love your pictures, What does Frank think of you and Tink?

Frank has made a few faces when I asked him to hold her, but I think he's getting used to her.

What a good sport he is. :thumbsup2 Chuck gave me a few funny looks when I was posing Plankton around the ship too. He even ran down to the cabin to pick him up for his date with the ladies at Rockin Bar D one night. :grouphug:

Chuck and Frank are troopers! I would struggle with that.
