You know you can make a cake for less calories. It is great. diet soda/one can and a cake mix. It is so yummy with fat free cool whip. Walter ordered a wi on line today. He wants to play wi fit. Now I have to find a wi fit. He thinks he is cool. It says he is 44 years old for his balance, etc. You know he is much older than that. I was a couple years older than I am. I did not get the balance deal. Maybe once I have my own wi I will be younger. I know I am younger at heart. I can keep up with my grandkids all the time. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Diane

I love this recipe...I make "diet soda" cake for my in-laws and they can't tell the difference.

I also add 2 egg whites to help it rise and hold together a bit - does not change the points value.

For anyone who does not know this one:

"Diet Soda Cake"

1 cake mix
1 12 oz. can diet soda
2 egg whites (optional)

Mix and bake according to the package directions. Calculate calories consumed/points value based on the "dry mix" nutritional information on the box. You'll cut out a lot of fat this way. Top with cool whip!

Any soda/cake combo will work - I usually will do a diet cola with a chocolate cake mix and diet 7up/sprite with a yellow or lemon cake mix.

I might try the 2 egg whites. Sounds like a plan. Diane

I thought it was kind of cruddy too. What the heck were they thinking? But I guess with the hope that the person who is sent home continues on the straight and narrow in the hopes their partner stays for 4 more weeks, they still have a chance to win the show and more importantly, become healthy. I'm wondering if the show is at least offering those who were sent home a fitness trainer of their own???

afeg! Bendy said adopt not marry. :scared1:

BTW...If you adopted me too I wouldn't have to "WORK" either. :cutie:

I wondered about the trainer too. Speaking of which, I saw Jillian on a fitness show yesterday She said she weighed 175 when she was an early teen. Hard to imagine when you look at her now!:yay:

Guess who I heard from KKers? It's Linda and Elouise!!

They are leaving for a RC cruise from Miami this Saturday and are planning a WDW vacation for April of 2010.

As you can see they hit up Disneyland Paris on a vacation given to them by her folks and a dear friend.

Linda wanted me to say hi to everyone!!
Thanks for sharing, looks like they are doing well.

Mark thinks there must be some other twist. I thought it was kinda stinky.

Add me to the adoption list.

Way to go Karen!! That's great news! You'll get back on track with your walking. I outta get a pedometer on me again, too. It's a real eye opener.

It sure is an eye opener. Some days I barely move:rotfl2: - seriously thoguh - the other day I stood for 3 hours ironing - I hardly walked anywhere that day:rolleyes:

Happy Birthday
Jeff & Chuck!
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Ditto from me.:goodvibes

How is your computer this morning, Karen?

Still sort of broken:rolleyes: - they have disabled the protection part so it works better but whats the point of having a securoty package if they disable the protection part:confused3

They both look really well:goodvibes - lovely to hear off them.

She may pay attention to you if she had a puppy:yay:

Good one Leisha! :lmao: Now give us some pictures of Walter!!!

It is any cake mix and any can of diet soda. You don't add any other ingredients. It is a very moist cake. I usually do a chocolate cake and diet coke. My daughter has done all kinds of cake mixes/diet sodas. They all have been good. Diane

Wowwee - who knew? I can't wait to try this!

I really need to learn how to add pictures my self instead of relying on Tommy and the kids.

I am back on the wedding timeline because I bought my dress for the wedding. It was on clearence for 60% off and was my size. Alisha is happy and I am not on the timeline in red anymore. :dance3: I have started thinking about the shower. Thanks to mother goose I have a lot of good ideas. I have to run the ideas by the bride first.

From DD in Dallas

Can of Rotel, can of diet coke, put in big saute pan. Get it to bubble then put in 4 chicken breasts. Cook on medium until done. :goodvibes

Will cook tonight for Di :)

Walt :cool1:

Good for you! So, what color did you finally decide on?

I loved the thing that Nancy did with the favorite recipes - I would love to have a cookbook like that!

Ok, I think I'm getting hints that I need to go ahead and stay after the cruise for MNSSHP...I got an email today from Disney for 40%off, and Halloween night is included! I haven't checked on it yet, but I thought that was funny.

On another sort of cruise related topic, has anyone flown Delta recently? Good, bad?

We have big white snow flakes here in KY. They are so pretty! I am glad they will fall and then melt by this afternoon. I am so done with winter.

Still heavy rain here and I am so glad, other wise we would have about 10-12 inches of sn*w on the ground by now...........
