Ok, I will now embarrass myself...

We got off the ABC's ride, headed down the slope and I spotted the "Things".

I squeeled like a baby and ran to join the queue. I love the Things

We then saw the Grinch. I must say he was brilliant. Moaning at absolutely everyone. Told me to stop grinning like a cheshire cat, told Ellis to get his hands out of his pockets. etc etc Really good fun, apart from the poor toddler he scared to death when he shouted at his Daddy

The photos were taken with a blue backscreen so they could impose their piccies onto it, here's just a snapshot that was taken with my own camera

Hey Mimi, good morning. I'm surprised you don't go back to school til tomorrow. Our kids went back today. Even though we're retired I still have that mind set of being on vacation when the kids are. Today is time to get back to business, namely eating wisely, housework, and getting reorganized. No subbing jobs lined up til next week so far.

Hi everyone! I seem to have gone from "spend hours on the DISboards" to "check in for 10 minutes once in a blue moon"! Everything is craziness these days. Too much to do and too little time.

Karen... I managed to find some of your pics... really cool! We keep saying we need to venture out from Disney now that the girls are older. I want to do Sea World as well. Maybe we'll pick a day this summer...and maybe not! We are planning for some friends to join us on our summer trip to WDW -- which will also be our 20th anniversary! It's a fairly short trip, so with friends, we're not sure what we'll plan.

I also saw some newcomers. !!!!

I am Beth (Tinkerbell.RN). My husband is Matthew (EPCOT VA). Our 2 daughters will be celebrating their birthdays on the ship. They will be turning 10 and 12 at the halfway point! (October 28)

So... I'll try to log on again soon. I'm off again to finish getting ready for Sarah's Brownie (Girl Scout) meeting.

We have Sea World here in San Antonio. Kids and I get an annual pass and visit it quite often. Di

I am back from dinner and a quick trip to Walmart to get some things. I guess there is a huge storm coming tomorrow. I got the last gallon of 1% milk! When i questioned it the walmart associate told me about the storm coming not Wednesday but tomorrow. We have to drive to Massachusetts tomorrow afternoon! I am sure we will be fine, but Mass drivers are psycho! (looks around the DIS to see if there are any Mass BOBERs...I don't think there are!)

So now I am sitting here waiting for my local on the 8's.

Hey I am a Mass driver transplanted to Texas. I will be driving there in a couple weeks. I am going to visit my family for 10 days. Can't wait. Alittle nervous how cold it is there. My old body does not like to get cold. It never warms up. Di

Love the Macy's parade!!! We watch it every year, and we get helium balloons and create our own Macy balloons - even the 22 year old does this still. It's such a corny but fun tradition!

PS....Funny story about Mr Beckham,a friend of mine saw him one night in a club about 15 years ago along with some other united players at this time Beckham was only a kid who was yet to play for the first team.My mate ends up asking him for his Autograph and the only thing he had was a £20 note which Beckham duly signed saying "Wow nobody ever asks me".....5 years later Beckham is a world superstar and his early Autograph is worth £300/500 my mate is living in his FIL house and comes home only to have a £20 note thrust into his hand by his FIL..."I borrowed that £20 note you use as a book mark coz the wife was at work and i didn't have any fags".......Most expensive fags ever bought?..

German kids train it to marry in Africa

Three German children aged five, six and seven who said they were fed up with cold weather at home set off on a voyage to Africa but only got as far as the local train station, police said.


The boy and the older girl were planning to get married in Africa and brought the girl's five-year-old sister along as a witness. They left their home in the city of Hanover, which they shared with the boy's father and the girls' mother, early on New Year's Day as their parents slept.

"The children wanted to do something really special for the New Year," said police spokesman Holger Jarczyk. "They had it all planned out. They had three suitcases, filled with food, swimming costumes, a lilo and even sunglasses."

He said they took a tram to the central station and were about to board a train to the airport when police stopped them.

"They said they wanted to go to Africa 'because it's so nice and warm there'," Jarczyk said. The boy had once been to Italy and convinced the girl that Africa would be even warmer, he said.

The police told the trio that it would be difficult to get to Africa without money or tickets and instead gave them a tour of the police station before handing them over to their parents.

So perhaps we're the only ones not planning on staying through the weekend after the cruise?

We are planning on coming in on Wednesday the 21st. We are totally out of DVC points and need to pay cash. I called yesterday and there are no 1BRs on cash discount at BCV, BWV, AKV, or VWL. That's where we'd prefer to stay. SO, I got a Value Studio at AKV on cash discount. There were 1BRs available for full cost at over $500/night but there is no way we can pay that price.

Anyone ever stay in a junior suite at the Swan or Dolphin? They are my next call today. I'm wondering if they have any teacher discounts available on those rooms.

So our plan is to hit three parks and perhaps the MNSSHP. We weren't crazy about the party this past September but had a nice time anyway. HOpefully it'll be offered on those nights we're there.
