Ok then! - Universal!

Islands of adventure first

Christmas Eve

Got there early - no queues. Did Spiderman twice - walk on, then over to Grinchmas

I love these pictures! The Cat in the Hat is a childhood favorite, so I have always taken a shine to his place. Karen, you are so beautiful! Look at that smile! Okay - Ellis looks great too.

Good morning everyone!

Well now, that's a rude awakening!!!

I was supposed to wake up at 5am and must have shut my alarm off in my sleep. :sad2: I didn't get out of bed until nearly 7am and I'm supposed to start work at 6am!!!! :guilty:

Good morning folks:goodvibes

Woke up to snow this morning:scared:

Neils first day back to work - he was scraping the snow off at 6am this morning:headache:
As he's doing it he gets a phonecall off the guy he's meant to be working with today - he's still stuck in Spain and cant get a flight so now Neil is doing both parts:headache: - he'll be a cold and grumpy hubby tonight

I loved it here - very well decorated.

Cat in the hat ride - very spinney and made me feel icky. Also very difficult too take a blooming photo! - you just get the camera pointed at something then the stooopid car spins round:rotfl: - hence the photos are very poor and very blury!

I'm not so good with spinny rides, either. Tea cups make me feel all yucky. MIssion:Space is out of the question. DId it once and never again.

Thank you , but you truly need spectacles.

Oops!

Universal looks fun, Karen! We want to head there in a couple of years.

Its definitely for older kids compared to Disney.

OH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Loving the pictures, Karen!

Karen - I know you said you were there early, but even for Universal, the place looks next to empty. Was the crowd light all day?

Ok, I will now embarrass myself...

We got off the ABC's ride, headed down the slope and I spotted the "Things".

I squeeled like a baby and ran to join the queue. I love the Things:cutie:

We then saw the Grinch. I must say he was brilliant. Moaning at absolutely everyone. Told me to stop grinning like a cheshire cat, told Ellis to get his hands out of his pockets. etc etc Really good fun, apart from the poor toddler he scared to death when he shouted at his Daddy:rolleyes1

The photos were taken with a blue backscreen so they could impose their piccies onto it, here's just a snapshot that was taken with my own camera

Onto the carousuessell next. I could barely get onto my animal:rolleyes1

We did everything we wanted - without the front of line queues by about 2pm - some things two or three times. Some rides were busy like one fish, but the carousel was going round half empty.

I'd like you now to comapre this photo taken just after lunch

with this photo taken 10 minutes later:rolleyes1

Even Neils wallet was soaked. He had to dry his money out when we got home and it affected the Disney passes that were in there too.

They took their shoes off and literally poured water out.

Ooooh! - I made my very first American pancakes the other day! - they turned out ok! - everyone ate them :woohoo: (and I ate 6:rolleyes1 ) - they were fairly small.;)

Did you put one on your head so you could practice?

When we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, we automatically got the front of the line thing. I have to say, you can really rip through the parks with that, but I don't think I would ever pay extra for it. Although it did allow us to do Jurassic Park and Spiderman a bunch of times.

This is what happened inbetween

still looking dry at the start of the ride

Oops! - first downpour

Oops, already answered.

I absolutely LOVED How the Grinch Stole Christmas (it was my 1st big girl book) but not so sure that I like seeing the Grinch as a live person. He is very scary - I think I would cry if I was a toddler. Or maybe that's just me.

Good Morning Everybody. Another winter day here in Maine. Overnight we had some light snow a sleet just enough that I have to go scrap the driveway:headache:.
Well today I start eating better and try to get back to the weight I had before the Members Cruise. That means loosing about 15 lbs.
Everybody have a great day

No I was too busy cooking the next batch to wear one:lmao:

Maybe next time though:thumbsup2

The FOL passes were expensive for the christmas week - we couldnt justify paying the extra so we'd gone with the thought of "if its busy we'll just leave" ... we're so glad we didnt pay the extra.

Hey Dan and Nancy! Hey Kathy! Karen - I am loving the photos. I am going to head into work for a little while so I am very ready for my little darlings tomorrow. See ya later!
