So that's what my Tivo was recording. I went into the room to put on a movie for the kids and saw the "red light" was on the Tivo.

Our neighbors all have left. We all agreed after playing Trivial Pursuit that we would not last until midnight and that if we do it will be in the comfort of our own beds! Of the two families that came, one has young children so it worked out anyway. We had a great time together!

BTW, my team won in Trivial Pursuit!

Way to go Team Chris!!!

I was in bed and asleep by 11:30 last night, just couldn't make it that last 1/2 hour.

By the way, thanks to all the Bober's for making 2008 great.
Especially to Jeff, Suz, Lil Jeff, Chris, Hazel, the twins, and my new British Sis and her GOS. You guys made a trip of a lifetime even more special. Andy and Hazel for making a my first Hurricane one heck of a trip afterwards.
If I had only known that the rest of the year was going down hill from there, I would never had gotten off that darn ship.

Kathy--a few friends and I are spending Valentine's Day weekend in NYC. Any suggestions for a hotel that is reasonably priced? We are coming in on the train into Penn Station......

If you don't mind a ferry ride every morning you can stay at the Navy lodge on Staten Island for a lot less $$ than anything in NY. We did it once, very clean and has a kitchen.

We are staying at the Hale Koa on Waikiki Beach in September! I can't wait!!! Have you guys ever been there?

We have but not since they renovated. Very nice. It was in 94 do it was a while ago......All I remember is parking was hard. We were PCSing from Guam to here so since we had to fly through Hawaii we stayed for 5 days. Beautiful island and you can get Dole whip at the pinapple farm!!!

He just got home from the DR. He has walking Pnumonia so we are staying home. I am working form home today which worked out well so that I can take care of him. I am hoping we will stay awake until midnight. We have several movies to watch and I may even cook for him.

Yikes, hope he feels better, lots of football and chicken soup for him today!

Finally got caught up!!!

Got in from work a little bit ago, they let us leave a little early today!!!

Had some disturbing news earlier. One of Hazel's niece's (age 19, and a twin) suffered what is believed to be a heart attack or stroke as she was walking in the door from work. Her father and brother preformed CPR and brought her back, not once, but twice. She is in ICU at our local hospital. Hazel's sister is beside herself. This is not how we wanted 2008 to end, and 2009 to begin.

The phone just rang as I was typing. Hazel's dad called and said that Hazel's niece has, was is believed to be, a cyst on her brain. Any prayers and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, Hazel is a bit shook up as well and is sitting by the phone waiting for any updates.

OMG- prayers coming your way. we are going to mass this am so I will say an extra prayer for her.

Wow I finally caught up. you guys were chatty yesterday. This darn job of mine keeps getting in the way. If we could live with out his paycheck I would have been ou of there yesterday.

They moved us from the corporate office to a dungeon office at a resort. So six women are crammed in a back office. I feel like I am back at college with 5 room mates, one girl is very loud and driving us crazy.

They had me- computer stupid me connecting the scanner/fax- mapping network drives etc.....I am going to add compter tech to my resume and where was out tech???Mean while my accounting wok is not getting done....

One quick note, DS # 2 is in Key West and the Magic was there Sunday too. I am so impressed I raised at least one Disney lover!!! He is having a ball, says the weather is great. They went scuba diving, and are spending a lot of time by the pool.

Brittany had just started a new job and it appears the chemicals she works with caused her attack. Looks like Brittany will be looking for a different job or taking better precautions. Thanks everyone for your good thoughts, prayers and .

In one way, this was a blessing, because, the tests still revealed the cyst/tumor on her brain that needs to be taken care of. Brittany will have to see a specialist for this problem.

So what did the Tech people say? How did you have to get a hold of them without having PM?

I used Kristin's login id and her computer but every once in a great while I can get in. I sent them a pm and got a response via email. This computer was acting up again last night and I backed everything up on the Seagate just in case computer man takes it with him. I lost some pictures in the process. No big deal though. They were from my first digital camera in 2004. I also have problems getting into my pm box from the laptop and at work.

WOW! That is really fast to be leaving ICU whatever the reason - I do hope they have found the real causes, and yes, finding the cyst is a good thing - so she can have it remedied. I am thankful it is nothing more than this - though I am sure the employment issue will present its own challenges. Good news! Thanks be to God!
