Did I miss anything important on here while we were at WDW over Christmas?? I won't be able to catch up on all the pages I missed here, I'm just moving forward with the thread.

I was off for awhile so I missed some stuff as well.

How was WDW though?

And as for getting off the ship, I never want to get off it. :sad1:

I never want to get off the ship either!!! At least we can now say we're sailing again this year :woohoo: I never want to come home from Disneyworld either. It was especially hard coming home from this trip after having had such wonderful weather in FL and knowing the awful weather we missed here, at least we missed it though.

Did you stay at Saratoga? If so did you ride the buses?
Sean and I want to take the kids for Christmas in 2011 (seems like a lifetime from now) Since we are SSR, I want to shoot for the new tree houses that year.

How about the new reservation system, how does that work if you want to be there more than a week?

I was just thinking Jeff, Brenda may want to see if Leslie is working the TransAtlantic, especially with her food addiction.

Other than Rach getting the stomach flu, WDW was great!!! The decorations were beautiful and the weather was great!!! We didn't feel the crowds were too awful (other than a lot of rude people and we felt like we were the minority being English speaking) until the day after Christmas. We got to get on most of our favorite rides and the longest line we waited in was about 20-30 minutes, but we did see wait times up to 120 min. we just refuse to wait that long for any ride, if it was a ride we wanted to do we would do it a different time early in the morning bt that is how we do things when we are there with the summer crowds too. If the opportunity presents itself in the future I would definitely go back for Christmas again!!!

Sorry edited, she is now going on the WB Trans Atlantic, so has canceled this cruise, but is planning on being at WDW still next year.

So sorry to hear that Brenda and a few others aren't cruising on the BOB anymore  :sad2: Brenda and Jay have fun on the WB crossing, how exciting!!

I was thinking of requesting him, regardless of rotation, on the BOB. Karen and Neil really like Indian food. They would love having Leslie as a server, especially if he can get some of those "special" dishes he got us on the repo.

We talked to Karen and Neil on Christmas night and they said the lines were really short. I told her to wait until after the holiday.

They called from the airport before boarding their flight, but only had time to wish us a Happy New Year. I'll have to ask her how their second week was.

BTW, welcome home Karen. Not sure if they landed yet (don't think so, its been only about 7 hours or so since they took off.

Yep we stayed at Saratoga. I love it there, it is a beautiful, peaceful resort :thumbsup2 We were in the Carousel area (that is the section that had a villa ready when we checked in and we just wanted to ge in our room and get settled so we took it) which often times gets a bad wrap on the DVC boards because it is the furthest from the main area but we were fine there, it was less than a 10 minute walk to the main area when I walked it and that was with taking pictures along the way. We had a rental car so we did a combination of using the car and taking the busses depending upon where we were going and if we were going to be park hopping. I think the longest we waited for a bus was 15 minutes so w ethought the bus service was good. We were the second bus stop at SSR so we never had to stand when we got on the bus, a few of the times they filled up to standing room by the stop after ours. We made our reservation before the new reservation system was put in place so I'm not sure how it is working. I was very happy though when we decided to fly out a day early because of a coming snow storm when I called DVC that morning I asked if they had any availability that night for a studio anywhere and they were able to get us in that night at SSR also, we spent that night in the Grandstand section. Any other SSR questions feel free to ask, this was our second stay there. We are hoping to stay in the Treehouses when we go with my sister and brother-in-law in June 2010.

Goodnight Jeff Happy New Year to you and your family :grouphug: Hopefully we can get together sometime soon!!!
