It's out in Staten Island...Navy Lodge.

Have you been to the one in San Fran? Lovely, isn't it?

Yes Paige we enjoyed the Museum and the bar....:rolleyes1

My Dad is a retired Msgt. Gunnery Sgt. That's why he gets invited to the Sgt. Major's picnic. He spent 5 years in the regulars and 25 in the reserves. He met my Mom, a WM, in Camp Lejeune after he got back from Korea. They'll be married 55 years in Sept.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Here he is in Bonaire last April - he's 76 - doesn't he look great? I am very proud of him!

Yes sir I am, it's only 9:16 am here in foggy CA.
I've got the Enchanted Movie playing on the IPOD Speakers. Great thing about this week is that I can work "professional" hours, come in at 8 and out at 2:banana:
Off tomorrow and back on Friday. Would have taken this time off but a certain AWESOME cruise that I took with some great people back in August ate up all my vacation time.

He just got home from the DR. He has walking Pnumonia so we are staying home. I am working form home today which worked out well so that I can take care of him. I am hoping we will stay awake until midnight. We have several movies to watch and I may even cook for him.:scared1:

Oh Leisha - I am so sorry for Tom and you! I hope he will get better soon and not pass it around!

happy New Year Everyone. Have A Lovely Evening And Its One Step Nearer To The Cruise. At Least We Are In The Right Year!!

Howdy Folks........

Checking in from sickbay this morning. Still home with the flu but starting to feel a little better, not even going to try and catch up here, looks like a lot of pages were added since I last signed on.........

Fever finally broke yesterday, but my head is still in a fog. I could only imagine how I would have felt if I didn't have the flu shot in October......

Lina got "the call" from The Disney Store yesterday. Because of the sagging economy, none of the 30 seasonal employees that were hired are being offered part-time positions at the store. In fact, some of theor regular part-time employees are losing hours. At least Lina still has her babysitting job at the moment to tide her over.

Well guys, I'll try and check back in later, time for my meds and some more rest. I've got to get back into work tomorrow and Friday to get Thursday's holiday pay.

Bye for now........:wave2:

Sorry you're still not feeling well. I've had a cold but nothing like that....Wanted to tell you that we went to the mall in Portland yesterday (the biggest one in the state & a major shopping mecca) and discovered that our Disney store was totally closed. I don't think there's one left in the state now. What a bummer for your daughter too.

I was really planning on DISing more today but work got in the way! :lmao: Now I've got everyone and their mama's in my office chit chatting. Hey people, don't ya know I want to DIS in private. How else can I talk about you all?

There, that cleared them out!:rotfl:

Yes, Would love to look like that at that young age and have the love and respect of my Children...:grouphug: :thumbsup2

Walt :cool1:

Sounds to me like you have the love and respect of your children - it's nice to hear how you enjoy spending so much time with your kids and grandkids. And how about the custom-made Harley Santa and Mrs. CLaus? That was a special present from someone who loves you!

Yeah, the ice is bad. On the way home from Maine on Sunday night, I noticed a lot of trees down on the side of the highway north and west of Boston between Lowell and Worcester.

We have friends who live in central Mass. and they were without power for a very long time after the ice storm in mid Dec. I guess there's a small utility co. there that couldn't handle the volume of outages. Southern Maine & NH got it bad too.

Whew!! I finally got caught up on pages and pages of posts!!

Sorry everyone but Annette and i have decided to reschedule our cruise to the beginning of October to be able to participate in the race for the taste on Oct 11th.

Amanda

So sorry to hear that. What is the race for the taste? It better be way much better than the BOB!!!!!..... OK I read further & learned it's a 10K race. ARe you running in it?

It's already started to snow here in NJ, Chris, but I don't think we are supposed to get as much as you. Guess I better rush off to the grocery store to pick up my bread and milk! :lmao:

Don't you mean ice cream and chocolate?!!!!

Not to make you jealous :lmao: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :)

Leaving today at 3:00 to spend the next 5 days with my Mom in Iowa..:dance3: :woohoo:

Feast before Fasting in 2009

Walt :cool1: :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I like that saying - FBF!

In reply to all the discussions about WW -- although I'm a life time member who has successfully maintained so far, I've slipped mostly because our at work group died and I have yet to find a meeting I like. I don't know about the new program other than I've seen some ads about something called momentum so I guess I need to get to a meeting and find out what's it's all about. Personally my momentum is the motion of my hand going to my mouth with food!!

Off to another hockey game!!!

Have fun guys!!! Give my hubby a smooch for me at midnight ;) Bernie, not Sean!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
You got to admit, Cass, the timing on your comment was priceless! :lmao:

LOL, yes...it was :lmao: Poor Jeff  :lmao:

I was actually referring to the idiots who just rear-ended my two sister-in-laws the other day :sad2: They are ok, just a little shaken up :scared:

I've got my niece Dani all day today while my sister works. She just went for a nap :thumbsup2 :cloud9: Kira will be following shortly :thumbsup2

Rob (and Sean) are DJ'ing the wedding that Sean & Bernie are attending tonight, so after 7pm when Dani goes home, it's just me and my princess alone.

I've got Mama Mia and Sex in the City Movie to watch after she goes to bed :goodvibes
