Nope. DS's school is closed so I'm home (they didn't close until 4:30 this morning, but I think everyone knew last night it would be closed. Why not just announce it on the 10:00 p.m. news? ).

We get my parents the same thing every year. They have everything they need too so they get a gift certificate for a favorite butcher of theirs. Boring, I know, but they like it. Last year we switched it up a bit and bought them a combo record player, cassette player, dvd player, am/fm radio. It looks like one of those old time radios. But since my daddy was in the hospital last year at Christmas we never gave it to them until almost September! I forgot I still had it in our front closet!!

I gave my Dad a membership to the Beer of the Month Club . He loves it! He invites his friends over when he gets a shipment and they compare.

This year, I got my Mom a monthly fresh flower arrangement. She loves flowers.

I also give them a bottle of Dom Perignon every CHristmas and they drink it on New Year's.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi from North Carolina. We are about 90 miles from the North/South Carolina border...Sleeping in St. George, SC tonight then on to MVMCP tomorrow afternoon.

I also have news.....I saw my doc this week and he says I can start getting back to my life. I have to see him in a couple of months after getting a C-T scan, and if that is good, he will start to wean me off of the anti-seizure meds I am taking. In 6 months, I will get an MRI and see him again, and if that is good, then I think he will release me. He told me to have a great time at WDW, but not ride anything that could make me nauseous or anything with blinking (strobe-like) lights. No problem.......

I am very hopeful since hearing this news and I appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers from my DIS friends.

This reminds me of the episode of Everybody loves Raymond where he buys his mother a years fruit subscription and she goes nuts.

I'm waiting to call in around 8:00. They are just waiting for me to call in so they don't have to pay me. Then they'll close and go home. JERKS!!! But, I'm telling them that I'll be in this afternoon if it get's better. That way, they have to stay too.

We closed our office anyways, so no need to take any time for today.

Suz on the other hand, still has a 9:30 opening. Stupid because it won't get any better around here until after noon. I told her to tell her boss she won't be in until this afternoon. She has almost 4 hours of OT, so if she puts only 4 in today, she's at a straight 40.

Too bad we aren't closer than we are Jeff. I'd Wii with you guys today but it's not worth putting my car in the ditch. Chuck just left for work. I'm curious to see how long it takes for him to get there.

Now that's something my dad would enjoy. A different beer every month. My mom wouldn't like it for him but I keep thinking, heck, he's 86 years old. Let him eat and drink whatever he wants!
