Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi from North Carolina. We are about 90 miles from the North/South Carolina border...Sleeping in St. George, SC tonight then on to MVMCP tomorrow afternoon.

I also have news.....I saw my doc this week and he says I can start getting back to my life. I have to see him in a couple of months after getting a C-T scan, and if that is good, he will start to wean me off of the anti-seizure meds I am taking. In 6 months, I will get an MRI and see him again, and if that is good, then I think he will release me. He told me to have a great time at WDW, but not ride anything that could make me nauseous or anything with blinking (strobe-like) lights. No problem.......:thumbsup2

I am very hopeful since hearing this news and I appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers from my DIS friends.:goodvibes

This is EXCELLENT news!!!!!

I think our total for our 2006 7 day Western was $2548 for 4 of us in a CAT 10. Our children were 4 and 6 at the time.

The price has really gone up in 3 years!

I just checked the 2010 cruise we're on and it is only $3,008 for 2A 2C (10 & 8). That is before any onboard discount of 10% (figure about $250 net of taxes), so around $2,750. That's only $200 more in 4 years. 7.8% divided by 4 years is only 1.95% per year (sorry my financial calculator is broken so I can't give you the exact rate of return). That doesn't seem like too much of an increase. Like I said, we're sailing for less in 2010 than we did and 2007 and are in 2009.

Glad to hear you're doing well Paige and are still able to get down to WDW. Have a great trip.

Photos please? :rolleyes1

First of all- I'm very excited and jealous for all you that will be with MM this weekend :)

Secondly-how often will DCL price match? If the prices continue to go down, we will be able to get more off?

I wish you were going to be there!

That is a good price! The BOB cruise is costing just shy of $3400 for the four of us in an 11. We do get shipboard credit from DU, Disney Chase, and now fuel surcharge, so I am hoping to have most of our gratuities covered with what we already have coming to us.

Oh, and I also have a free ticket on both Delta and Southwest, so that will help as well. Currently Delta is the cheapest flight. I found a RT from Boston for $212. Southwest won't open their schedule until summer, so I will play the wait game.

hey!! jeffy's back.:thumbsup2

i thought you'd be on your way to FL.:santa:

Cass - if you only need the car seat during the flight and the ride to the port, you are welcome to store it in my cabin during the cruise. I will have plenty of room.

and feel free to store Kira in our cabin.:cutie: :cutie:

She jumps and runs around, throws everything out of the crib, rips off the sheet, gets naked and sings :lmao: She does everything in there BUT sleep

the apple doesnt fall far from the tree eh cass??:cutie: pirate: :lmao:

You will be getting either a credit or a lower final payment of $56/pp - depends on when they get around to you...

When I saw everyone here discussing the removal of the fuel surcharge, I called my AAA agent. She contacted Disney and they said they would be going through all the AAA reservations and either issuing a shipboard credit or reducing the final payment. Since I was one of the first people to call, they adjusted my final payment right away, as a reward for being diligent :lmao: (or so they told me!)

Thanks Kathy.:thumbsup2

I don't care if it's in the 30's - I'm going to see Mickey on Saturday!!! (and a bunch of other BOBers!)

Someone take a BOBer/BASHer DISmeet pic! ::yes::

And you live a lot closer to USA Baby than I do (Pilgrim and Capitol). Although we can meet there to.

A USABaby DISmeet?? Hmmmm, maybe there will an announcement from a couple of my kids and we can see if they'll offer us a twofer. :woohoo:

You have to watch the onboard booking discounts. According to DU, to remove the surcharge, you'd have to rebook and lose them. And, if the surcharge comes back, you will be assessed it again. On the flip side, if you leave it and they don't bring it back, they are looking into givin you OBC for that amount.

So, I should just sit tight then.

Hahah, I hope you mean when they were kids and not present day :rotfl2:

Hmmmmm, maybe. :rotfl2:

Or just plan a trip to Southeast WI around the 4th of July next year.

:yay: :yay: :yay: We now have an extra guest bedroom/full bath Cass!:yay:

I have always wanted to try belly dancing.. looks soo cool.. but I have to wait till i have less of a belly..lol

My belly dances Bernie....unfortunately, it does it all on it's own. :sad2:

Good news Sistah P. :thumbsup2

Bernie, I usually lose him on the first sentence. I've told him already....he makes my butt ache. (I use the other word for butt though that starts with an A):rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The long lost Bober has returned. It will take me days to get caught up so I might just start from here. My DMIL had to have surgery which she has a 40% chance of surviving. She agreed to it because she said she had nothing to lose at this point. She is a tough old bird because she not only made it through the surgery but she went home from the hospital within 3 days and is doing great. We have been taking turns staying with her but she kicked us all out yesterday because we were getting on her nerves. :lmao:

I hope I have not missed much. Any big news such as our cruise is being extended another week free. :woohoo: Oh well I can dream.

welcome back.:wizard: :wizard:
glad she's feeling better.:woohoo:
