Way to go on the weight loss, Andy!!!! That is fantastic!

Sorry about the kiddo who decided to come in late - that can raise the blood pressure and heart rate. I'm glad she is okay!

Not to mention making the parent(s) lose sleep..........

Now that she is "18" she feels she doesn't need a curfew, sorry, doesn't work that way in this house.

When my kitties were babies, a friend's kids used to come over to play with them. They loved to play but they were babies and would get tired after a while, which the kids didn't understand. So Nicky would go into his bed and pretend he was sleeping, so the boys would leave him alone. I would look in on him and he would open one little eye to see who it was!

You know Kathy, when Sean around 10 he thought he'd like a dog. I figured it would be a good idea since he wanted something that wanted to play with him day and night and the cats don't want to do that, so for his birthday I got him a cocker spaniel pup.

By the end of 3 days he was upset enough to cry that he wanted the dog to go back. He didn't really like how they could be so obnoxious and how loud they could be. He realized how much he loved the peacefulness of cats.
That and the fact that they were small enough for him to tuck and carry them wherever he made them go

He didn't want to do the walking and yard cleanup, of course that he'd promised he'd do (neither did I really).

So within a couple of weeks we found him a great home, gave him away for free! Even though I was still paying on him... he was an expensive purebred and I bought all the crate and toys, etc too.

Bailey is still great and happy with his other family

But Sean learned that he's definitely a cat guy.

Hi everyone! I'm back and in one piece!

I can't focus on the computer screen for too long-docs orders, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes. I am home and recovering better and better everyday. It has been a bizarre week, but I am definitely on the mend. I am being waited on, hand and foot, and I don't like it, but I know I have to rest to recover. My mom keeps going around my house saying, "Brain surgery, I can't believe it, brain surgery." It makes me laugh.

My memory is still sketchy and I am drooling a little (lol), but I am doing well, and I have to say it is all because of all the prayers and good thoughts that were sent my way.

Now I just want time to go by, so we can get this party started!!

Even with Thanksgiving this week, I still managed to lose 2 pounds for the week, bringing my total weight loss to 34 pounds. I also moved up another knotch on my belt!!!

Time for my bowl of oatmeal.

Had a late start at the gym this morning thanks to a kid who decided to miss curfew last night.......

My kitties like to play but they are also excellent snugglers and cuddlers. I do like dogs, we had an incredible Irish Setter when I was a teenager, but they are very different pets.

It's great that the story has a happy ending and that everyone ended up with what they needed! You are a good mommy!

Amen Brother! Our daughter is finding out that at 19 and in college, she still doesn't get to make all the rules or have things run solely according to her schedule. She was a bit surprised when she couldnt' stay out as late as she wanted. I guess it was just good I didn't have to work or she would have had to be in even earlier. I don't function well without my sleep, and I wake at the slightest noise - I wish my body didn't work that way.

Just finished a few songs of Guitar Hero with my son. He plays on co-op with me, so he doesn't completely obliterate me. He doesn't even fuss if I get us kicked off stage. I only play on medium, and of course he plays on expert, but playing co-op we can still ahve fun together. He and Dad are playing now.

Here's another funny story.....

Just found out yesterday that for the last 5 years I've had my ferret thinking it was a boy.....

it's not, it's a girl!

Don't know how my vet and the ferret's birth certificate were wrong but
there was no mistaking the photos I saw online and when I read how you can tell.

Guess my vet never really needed to look to closely there and the breeder just quickly wrote off multiple certificates, they breed so many at a time to sell to pet stores.



I named him, now her Rikki Tikki Tavi.
Can't change it now, she's used to the name!

No shopping this time - we had done some online, but our shopping was the plumber and the car repair man before Thanksgiving and will be a contractor friend this week to replace the floor under the bathroom where the toilet was leaking unnoticed for so long. Home ownership has its perks - this isn't one them. I was going to get her some Vera Bradley stuff online, but she has her heart set on a new camera, so I guess we will try to find a way to make that work and appear under the tree in a few weeks.

That sure is going to be a rocking shuttle.They might need 2 shuttles for all of us. I would say that their shuttles only hold maybe 40-50 people. We are currently at over 50 people staying at the Radisson including all family members and there are still several BOBers to book.

Maybe when Cheryl has some time, she can ask how many people the shuttle holds and if they even have two shuttles

Good morning all,

I am up and at it this morning, my husbands christmas party is at stagewest (dinner/theater) this year and for sunday brunch no less. Sadly Cass and Rob (Rob contracts to my husband company) won't be joining us due to the new rule change of no children under 3 wich went unnoticed till it was too late to get a babysitter ( gerrrrrrr made me mad!) for them.

I will sneak food to them in my napkin!! yeah thats it ..lol well atleast they get to stay in their jammies later today... I'm jealous..lol
