Good morning all! Firefighter Chris - I will pray for those mentioned. You did not say how old the young man was that was racing and cutting through the industrial park. I can only imagine he must be young enough not have that reasoning and impulsive decision making skill refined. It blows my mind how little regard some have for the power in their cars and the responsibility driving is.

Andy - No problems with you being a Navy fan. Like I said, the streak is probably safe this year. The line I've often heard is to watch who marches on better. It is a good rivalry - healthy instead of ugly, intense but not in the wrong ways, and fun for those involved and those who watch. When it's all over, they are all ready to be in support of one another and walk side by side.

Sending the kids back today - I hope all travelling do so safely. I hope all our college kids on here go back and finish well. As I lay awake this morning in bed at 4:00, I realized I have a lot to do myself to be ready to go back for the last 3 weeks. Exams will be here before I know it.

Check back soon - bye all!

Oh could it be, a morning FO??? Not possible, I think. Oh but yes!!!!!

Sorry the last post was so long. But for those of you that do not wear seat belts, please start. It could help save your life.

Amen! Add my name to the list of those walking around today because of seat belts! (Head on collision on the Belt Parkway!)

Go Navy!!! Sorry, I'm a Navy brat!!! Born in Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Virginia :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm with you, Andy!

But, Squeeker, his cat, is probably going to have a party today.
when he first came home she looked shocked. "What is he doing back here?
I thought he was gone!"
So she had to get used to him dragging her around with him everywhere he went and sleeping up on his loft bed. She is 10 years old, overweight and I'll bet she has some arthritis, she really hates being up in high places that she can no longer jump from or it hurts her joints.
She hid from Sean the first day, every time he let her down she ran and hid behind the furniture.
I found her yesterday in the laundry basket in the basement:rotfl:

So, kitty party at my house today:banana: :cat:

Boy will she be surprised when he comes home for a month in 2 weeks!:scared:

:rotfl:

When my kitties were babies, a friend's kids used to come over to play with them. They loved to play but they were babies and would get tired after a while, which the kids didn't understand. So Nicky would go into his bed and pretend he was sleeping, so the boys would leave him alone. I would look in on him and he would open one little eye to see who it was!

The way my husband has described being at West Point in the week leading up to this game, I think life basically stopped there except for classes and the game. I know he has some good memories from the rivalry.

Kathy - that Nicky is too smart for his own good! What a cute story!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm back and in one piece!

I can't focus on the computer screen for too long-docs orders, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes. I am home and recovering better and better everyday. It has been a bizarre week, but I am definitely on the mend. I am being waited on, hand and foot, and I don't like it, but I know I have to rest to recover. My mom keeps going around my house saying, "Brain surgery, I can't believe it, brain surgery." It makes me laugh.

My memory is still sketchy and I am drooling a little (lol), but I am doing well, and I have to say it is all because of all the prayers and good thoughts that were sent my way.

Now I just want time to go by, so we can get this party started!!

LOVE TO ALL!!:goodvibes

Oh how totally amazing to hear from you, Paige! This has totally made my day! I can't wait till my husband gets back from taking our daughter back to school, so I can let him read your post. God is amazing and is the great Physician! I hope you continue to heal quickly and completely - your mom's comments are hilarious and must help you keep it all in perspective. I can't wait to meet you face to face and celebrate with you! God bless and rest!

princess: princess:

then the wedding planning kicks into high gear. we're waiting for our wedding planner who lives in WI to help co-ordinate everything.:rolleyes1 (pp goose)

Erika and her friend Tiffany are leaving today. I will sure miss her. I spent last weekend in Dallas with her, the weekend before in Houston and now she has been here all weekend. I have been spoiled with my two kids and grandkids. It is so nice to have a close family like I do. We have had a great Thanksgiving vacation. Played games, ate too much, shopped, and just sat around and gabbed. She brought the kids to see Bolt on Friday while Kristen their mother shopped for them for Christmas and I brought everyone to see Four Christmas's last night. It was funny and the kids also liked Bolt. We have been real busy. Paige I am glad you are home and doing okay. Thanks Rob for sending us the good news. Di

Even with Thanksgiving this week, I still managed to lose 2 pounds for the week, bringing my total weight loss to 34 pounds. I also moved up another knotch on my belt!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Time for my bowl of oatmeal. :)

Had a late start at the gym this morning thanks to a kid who decided to miss curfew last night.......:headache: :headache: :headache:

Wonderful to hear from you Sistah P!

Your mom cracks me up ... I think mine would be doing the exact same thing! :lmao: You know you're going to have to get her a basketful of lottery tickets to make up for this scare, don't you? ;)

Glad to hear everyone is taking such good care of you ... be good to yourself and get better soon! :goodvibes

Good morning all,

I am up and at it this morning, my husbands christmas party is at stagewest (dinner/theater) this year and for sunday brunch no less. Sadly Cass and Rob (Rob contracts to my husband company) won't be joining us due to the new rule change of no children under 3 wich went unnoticed till it was too late to get a babysitter ( gerrrrrrr made me mad!) for them. :sad1:

I will sneak food to them in my napkin!! yeah thats it ..lol well atleast they get to stay in their jammies later today... I'm jealous..lol :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. I am getting ready to do our services for today, but slipped on the DIS quick in my office.

Glad to hear from Paige and that she is doing well. God is certainly good!

Way to go on the weight loss, Andy!!!! That is fantastic!

Sorry about the kiddo who decided to come in late - that can raise the blood pressure and heart rate. I'm glad she is okay!

Poor Squeeker. When we still had our "Kitty" (creative name, eh?) she used to run from Kristin because she would carry her upside down. Butt up in Kristin's face and her head hanging down. Kristin used to like when the cat's tail would swish her in the face. :rotfl2:

Did you and Sean have a nice visit? Did you do anything fun??:cheer2:

:rotfl:
Sounds like the stuff Sean would do (of course when he was younger).
He used to take another cat of ours and stuff it down the pant leg of his feety pajamas.... you know the zip up kind, 1 piece that little kids wear....
yup stuffed that cat deep down one leg and walked around with the cat in there.
For some reason that cat never seemed to mine:confused3

Actually while Sean was here we didn't do very much at all, just hung out together watching movies, being couch potatoes, only went out to dinner twice.
He was glad to be home and just wanted to enjoy that and hang out with his kitty:hug:

But he enjoyed it lots! Slept a lot, said he missed his comfy bed.:cloud9:
