Rob's like that too! It took me years to figure out why he doesn't like certain meals I make...like shepherd's pie...lasagna...macaroni casserole, etc. It's because they are all mixed together and he can't eat one thing at a time :lmao:

Mike, wasn't there like 5-6 BOBers that are like that? I know for sure Lori, but there were more too! Christian maybe? I remember you were all going to have a DIS meet onboard and there were going to be a single plate buffet :lmao:

:rotfl2:

Found this in my email just now!!

Hello again. Mom's surgery went well. Everything is going as planned and is going good. Please put a post for my Dad on the Disboards. Thanks for your prayers!

-Emily

It came from Paiges DD Emily.

Thank you so much MG! I was worried all day. Wasn't able to get on the DIS yesterday to find out what was going on.

Paige-
Hugs and Prayers for a speedy recovery!!!

Anyone want a good laugh? Google Honolulu to Atlanta, click on maps, then click on Get Directions. Check out the route, and sscroll down to what should be step 15. Sometimes I wonder about the people (my husband included) who write the software we all rely on each day.

That's pretty funny!!! :lmao: Arms might be a little sore after that though :rolleyes1

Personally, I like step 16...and if you click on the step, it zooms to where you should be parking your kayak ;) :rotfl2: Some random park...and then you follow the walking path right into an alley...then you take a SHARP right :rotfl: :lmao:

Guess this is where they have a car waiting for you :rolleyes1

OMG!:lmao:
This is too funny, and I'm in the room next to my sleeping son trying to be quiet and not wake him but I just bursted out laughing!

What about beef stew?
Or chili?

OMG!:lmao:

I know, right - it just keeps me giggling! I go back to it, and ask so many questions - why just a kayak? Why not CA or Oregon? It just cracks me up!

Good morning everyone!!!

  Here's hoping Paige is on the mend and headed to a quick, complete recovery, and Rob and the kids are feeling a peace!!!

Karen, I don't think a tortilla is a bad practice item. It is a bit floppier (unless you use the fried kind) and a bit lighter, so I'm not sure you'll get a true experience, but we won't make you pose for your picture or hop across the dining room with it unless you've had ample time to practice. :rotfl:

Yes, about that route - the landfall point is rather silly, and the whole kayak thing - I'm laughing again just thinking about it.

Well, today is final preparations for tomorrow - I have only a few things left to purchase and am having brunch with a friend a little cafe. My son comes home today (YIPPEE) and my daughter tomorrow (Wish it were today). We will watch the Macy's parade tomorrow morning and make our own version of Macy balloons with helium balloons - it is something we have done every year, a corny but fun tradition.

Kathy, I hope you are feeling much, much better today!

I await all the explanation about foods, though I must agree, syrup on bacon is yucky. Anything mixing that changes the texture of the invaded food would give me reason to think twice. And ketchup on baked beans.... oh that is another story... Mack hates ketchup to even be on the table - he and tomatoes do not get along (though he eats pizza and spaghetti and could eat his weight in lasagna). We had a waitress at the Turf Club at SSR that accidentally spilled a bowl of ketchup down his back - oh, the kids and I were laughing inside to beat the band, but of course, on the outside, we were doing whatever we could to help. He did a phenomenal job not losing it. And of course, Disney being Disney, bent over backward to rectify the situation.

Everyone have a lovely day!

Glad your kids will be home from college to spend Thanksgiving with you too!:grouphug:

Okay - not to gross out our folks who don't like food touching or those who eat one item before moving on to the next - but for those of you who fix (or jsut eat:) ) some sort of huge meal around this time of year - what is your favorite item on the table? Is it soemthing mom made all those years of your childhood? Is it something a spouse brought into your life when you married? Perhaps it is something you tried after finding a recipe that intrigued you or traveling to some area and experiencing this new delight? Is it something from the World? Oh I am eager to hear these!

It had to be some guys goofing around on the clock:surfweb: :lmao:
They must have had to liven up their boring jobs:idea:

I LOVE my cranberry recipe!
made with real whole cranberries, sugar, orange peel, cinnamon and red wine!

It is soooooo good!
My friends love it! Given out the recipe a bunch of times

Unfortunately my boyfriend and son don't like it very much at all.
So I'm making it just for ME!:cloud9:
Bob would rather eat the stuff from the can:headache: Now, that's just wrong!

:woohoo: Completed all my chores:woohoo: :laundy:

I have 1 1/2 hours of peace til Ellis and his friend come home from school.

My paperwork is all sorted for christmas holiday.... 1 1/2 cases packed, the food shopping is done for our christmas day lunch (Dec 7th) :santa:

I've just eaten a mince pie:rolleyes1 - afterwards I read the box..... 270 calories per pie!:scared1: - it was a teeny itsy bitsy stoooopid little thing and it was 270calories:scared1:

I guess I'll be spending the 1 1/2 hours of peace on the wii fit then:rolleyes:

I'll play!

My favorite is stuffing....good old turkey stuffing. Usually with some turkey tossed in and lightly drizzled with gravy (sorry Mike!)

But please do not add apples, raisins, sausage, water chestnuts,or anything bizarre to my stuffing!

Karen - you make me laugh! I love it! You can afford the 270 calories once in a while! I am excited for you and your family about your trip! I hope you all have a memorable and fun time!

Nothing bizarre?!?!?! My mother used to make some kind of oyster stuffing - yuck. She would make regular cornbread stuffing for us kiddos too, but she loved the oyster, and it had all kinds of things in it.

My in-laws make stuffing with sausage and apples in it....totally ruins the stuffing IMO. And of course, that's the side of the family we get together with for Thanksgiving! Oh well....:goodvibes

EEEWWW Mince Meat:eek:

Good morning/afternoon all....

Just a quick drive by post today...trying to get lots done at work so I can take Friday off!

I'll check in later!

For me it depends on what kind of stuffing has the sausage and apples. If it is plain cornbread, then I prefer it plain. But if it is an herbed stuffing, I don't mind sausage and/or apples in it. And I do like to eat my stuffing and cranberry sauce together.
