Hi Big Daddy.....this is what I have. We're with Verizon and I pay about $165 for cable (1 standard box & 1 DVR box), phone, and internet. It will go down about $5 when I take my "Japan rate" off of it, since my friends ahve moved back to the states......

Hmmm not so bad then,over here i expected you guys to be way cheaper.......

ps...Don't ever ring us Unless your ringing to say you've scored the big Lotto win Just ask Jeff he'll be paying on a monthy plan for the next 235 years for one call he made over here....

I gave him a ride home from school yesterday. He only spoke when I spoke first....good move, kid. He seems to be a nice boy. He has a job after school, so he made "brownie points" with me. The one thing I can't get used to is the fact that the kids are allowed to hold hands at school. I hate that. IMO, there should be no PDA's at school....that's for a date to the movies or the bowling alley, etc, not school or church. Emily said, "You and Daddy hold hands in church." I told her to get married and then she can hold hands in church.

Nope, is it good? I am anxious for Big Love to start again. And I loved Rome. Vorenus is the man!

I like it, very different from anything else I've seen on HBO. Takes place in Louisiana... Lots of hunky guys.

I never got into Big Love (I have trouble with the concept of a man having multiple wives, but not the other way around )

I totally LOVED Rome! I wished they had done another season. No wait, Vorenus died at the end of the last episode...

We could call it the "personality" cruise.

I'm with you. That's what many of us say to our kids here. Holding hands leads to kissing leads to other things...... I told a friend of mine just this morning, "Who cares about the 2 wars we're fighting overseas, we're fighting a war right here at home--keeping our teenagers out of trouble!"

Of course I mean no disrespect and nothing but honor and goodwill to our fighting men and women--and their faithful children who have so many worries these days.

I will have to check it out.....I'm from Louisiana, too.

As for Big Love....they do a great job of making you mad at him for having the multiple wives but also you like hime because he tries to be a good husband and father. It's rather like what they did with Tony Soprano--he was a twisted killer, but you couldn't help but pull for him. Ya know? In any case, I can see where the Mormon Church is offended by this show, because even though they condemn plural marriage, they are attached to it in this show.

There are so many different packages. The one I was looking at will come to about $60-$80/month depending on premium channels. That includes 3 standard boxes and one DVR.
