Hope everyone is having a good weekend and I really hope Mother Goose and her brood are recovering from a wonderful wedding yesterday!

Just wanted to say hello ... and now goodbye ... many things to do and not enough time or mobility to do them all. This sciatica is really getting on my nerves ... :lmao: :rotfl2:

they let us in for the reception.:woohoo: :woohoo:

robin sat with nancy and suz, i had to sit at the crashers table:headache:

(just like the movie):cool1:

guess we wont make it to Kiras party. :headache:
stinking Dudley Do Right wouldnt let us across the Canadian border.
like i'm a sercurity risk or something.:rolleyes1
so we had to head home.:rolleyes1

awwww and I bought a bunch of strawberrys to make smoothies and everything!!! ;)

Anyone have experience ridding a tree of a hornet's nest? I read that after Spetmber one does not have to remove or destroy the nest since the hornets leave because of the cold. We have had a few hard freezes already, but I also read the hornets can repopulate, so it seems prudent to get it down and destroy it. Any experiences anyone can share to help us do it correctly?

Stinging FO???? Not likely - I didn't even know I was on a new page.
Unbelievable!

Yes, Mike, I heard that the entire Canadian Border Patrol has been issued a copy of this picture and told not to let you across the border. Wonder why??? :rotfl2: probably because they are laughing too hard!!!

Can't remember where you were from, but here in NY I've had them before and have a not so funny story about a co-worker who came over to my home to remove the huge thing from my tree in summer time, broad daylight, using 1/4 stick of dynamite! What a disaster!

Anyhow, after they had rebuilt the rest of the nest back again. I left them alone.
then I read up on them. A LOT!

Out this way, where it gets snowy cold they say you don't have to remove them in wintertime because birds and squirrels and other animals that can get to the nest will destroy it and eat it through the winter.

Sure enough, when winter was over that huge nest in my tree was gone and hasn't come back!:yay:

Then this fall, now that the leaves have fallen off, Bob points out another one that was in my backyard tree:eek:
I never knew it was there all summer when I mowed under it:eek:

I told my son, in college in Florida, who said, yeah, I knew it was there too, but didn't want to freak you out and they weren't bothering anyone so better left alone and not to tell you.

:scared1: Thanks!

Tomorrow...will be exactly 11 months till we sail....:woohoo: :woohoo:
