My baby's coming home Tuesday!:thumbsup2

First time coming home since I dropped him off at college and
first time flying by himself.
I'm rather worried about that. Afraid he'll miss his connecting flight by not paying attention to time, or something.

Still my favorite photo of him lately.
Cracks me up with his sense of humor.
Just wish this photo came out better, I took it with my cell phone

I hope all is going well with the wedding this weekend for Kristen.
I hope she's feeling better by tomorrow:tinker: pixiedust:

I just spent a long time catching up from where I left off last night! I skimmed through the 99 questions & will respond eventually. I don't think I can ever remember all that info!

Nancy that is such fantastic news!!! :yay: He must be a very gutsy kid (gets it from his grandparents!) Too bad you can't make the game :sad1:

I think you should tell everyone the story - it's really quite amazing that he has recovered so quickly!

Back on Sept 8 he was mowing a hill on the campus (work study) & slipped. His foot went under the mower & he lost his left big toe. He was recruited to play football. But he has bounced back wonderfully & hopefully will be able to play again. It could have been sooooo much worse.

Nancy and Dan - This is such good news! I am SO happy for all of you! This is an answer to prayer - I know he must be so excited!!!! I hate it you will miss it. I know he'd love to have you there too. Thanks for telling us!!!

We will be there in spirit & in the same city. It's supposed to be very cold & windy so sitting outside even for him wouldn't be fun. He'll be joining us later in the day.

Hey everyone...

I returned home from picking up my bell ringers and the boiler crapped out..again! So I went to the garage, got some firewood and called the oil company. The tech called and should be here any minute. I am hoping it is able to be fixed tonight as I don't want to be cold!

I hope they can get it fixed for good for you without needing to replace it.

That is wonderful. He must be so excited. Whish him luck from all his grandparents crazy disney friends.

Encyclopedia Frank says, no, you have to be a registered guest to park at a resort. He thinks

We have gone to other resorts while staying at another one - just should ID & they said Welcome Home & let us through. No time limit. How long did you want to park for Joanne?

OK I leave Roger home and all you girls come on down.

Sounds like a plan - except for the airfare from way up here!

Afternoon all, I am home sickly ( I hate my thyroid!)
but at least i can catchup with you guys :-)

It's strange to see talk of thanksgiving when it has already been and gone for us Canadians... but it sounds like you guys will have the same kind of food overload like we did..lol always 3 days of eating..then the remorse of "I gained too much weight!!" lol

So we celebrate the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock. What do you celebrate for your Thanksgiving? the same thing?

I run the local Salvation Army. When I lived in Maine, I invited them to be my guests at our annual fund raising dinner. President Bush came in 2001, and Barbara in 2004. Barbara was a lot of fun. She is a great person. George was fun, but different than Barbara.

That's exciting! I didn't know you lived in Maine too - thought it was just your parents. Where was the dinner?

oh wow.. um this is rather bad of me... I actually don't know other than the sake of sharing and such.. we just had to be different I guess..lol

cheated and looked it up.. lol it is for the closing of the harvest season and we give thanks for the bounty

I started out in junior high then went to elementary! Today when 3 classes got together for their buddies group (1st, 2nd & 4th) I'd been in each one of them this month. I get around!

I am surprised to see how many people have climbed to the top of the Statue of Liberty! I am a native New Yorker and I've never done it! in fact, I've only been there twice :scared1:

Oops, Nancy, I fear I've stolen your F.O. Sorry!
