Since I'm doing all this planning, I have another question...

When we went on the cruise, I had our passports, so I showed them as ID at the airports for all 3 of us. Should I take DS's passport as a photo ID for my flight to Phoenix? Do airlines require photo ID for kids?

I can understand that....I am crossing my fingers that things go well for us in DL- we will be there on peak days 12/22 and 12/23!!!

But it's better than not going at all.....

I love DL at Christmas time. We lived in Tustin, CA until 2001, just 10 miles from DL. Needless to say, we had Annual Passes every year. It was a great place to stop in after work for a couple of hours from time to time.

It's been years since we were there during the slow times. Since our girls are in school, we have been relegated to Summer for the most part. This trip and our cruise next October will involve pulling them out of school for a week. After that, it will be too hard as Megan gets beyond 7th grade.

We have my brother and his wife, my sister, and my cousin joining us for the trip. I have only reserved the Grand Villa at OKW one other time. It was great. You can't beat the point cost either. We will have it Sun-Thu night only. The first three days, we will stay at All Star Movies.

My sister doesn't "do lines" very well, so this should be an enjoyable and stress free trip for her. The kids will also hold up better with less standing around.

Can't answer the question on the ID for the airport. We always show DS's passport and they look at it and him. Just force of habit for us to produce it at security.

Uh oh, did I miss a discount? We made the ressie way back in May. What's the "room only code"? Our price was $136.73 per night including all taxes.

Morning to everyone! It's MMMMMOOOONNNNDDDDDAAAAYYYYY and Friday seems so far away, but on Friday I am off for 9 whole days! Yippee!

We love to ski. My kids like to use blades, but only at mountains in the east. The snow is so different in CO, that they can't use them there. None of mine have ever tried snowboarding. I was going to, but they said it would be worse on my bad knee.

We also like to ski. Scott is a snowboarder. He loves it. I have never tried it and never will.

Don't feel bad about keeping up . We were gone all weekend and when we checked this morning Nancy said I will never catch up. As you know we had a busy hockey weekend and another one coming up this weekend.
I haven't seen Joanne on since Friday?

I would be pretty safe to say that it will be very crowded. However, that's not all bad. Part of the holiday excitement includes the crowds. That's part of the excitement and atmosphere. As long as people are cheerful and have a good time, it becomes a party atmosphere. Just expect things to take longer.

I remember New Year's Eve at the front of the Castle in DL. You absolutely could not move. Wherever you were is where you had to stay until it was all over. But you were there for that countdown. (Just make sure everyone has gone to the restroom before you stake out a spot.)

I am soooo thankful I didn't try to make Cath try to eat it.
We were in and out this weekend. Scott's parents were there and I went shopping Sat. for a while with our childminder. Then we came back had dinner and her and I sang karaoke loudly.

We are getting close enough to start packing for our trip now. I've been envious as many of our fellow DISsers have been going the past 3 or 4 months.

OK - I can't keep up with how many pages go through this site, but even on spot checking (and with hints from my lovely tiki wife) I became aware of this shameless assault on the wonderful delight of apple sauce! I personally conspired to cause people in England to dislike this culinary treat so that I would have more of it here in America!

APPLE SAUCE SAVED MY LIFE

When I was a baby it was the only thing I would eat. My Mom took me to the doctor because she was worried but he said to let me just eat it - I haven't stopped yet! Without apple sauce I would have starved as an infant!

You can keep your apple baby slop ..... I'll stick to cheesecake and wine .... they're the items that save my life on a daily basis

The white pizza with chicken & alfredo sauce must be a southern thing (Joanne mentioned this as well) or maybe one of those 'pizza chain' inventions. In NY/NJ/CT/PA, white pizza is multiple kinds of cheese, no sauce. Brocolli & spinach are also acceptable.

Chris or Andy please weigh in here.

We did the best we could with them. Mine is about 5 foot 8 and probably 100 lbs. Gorgeous body. I thought she was a dead ringer for me.
