1:36 am, Combo of nerves and the carmel frap I drank at 8pm I don't drink much caffine anymore so when I do.
Starting to get tired though. I did do a short update on the blog though.(shameless plug)

It is beautiful though and another destination that we want to go back to.

Thought I'd share this with you again.

I'll go and check it out now. Thinking of bringing my own Cappachino sachets (decaf, of course) as the lats time I tried Cove's coffee, I didn't like it.

Oh and Chris remember it is against the law to feed the bears. That includes feeding them your children.

You know...I never get over the time difference. It's 9.40am, Saturday morning.

Hi Becky and Heather----yes, I'll be leaving here in about an hour to head over to Riverwinds.........

Oh and Chris remember it is against the law to feed the bears. That includes feeding them your children.

When we visited the park, it was part of our coach tour. We had about 3hrs of our own time and Rick and I decided to to take one of the walking routes, thinking that we would have plenty of time. We only just made it back to the coach in time We didn't have time to visit the Angel falls up close.

Well at least we are on the same day. So do you then leave on Friday and arrive on Friday night here? I read on the "other" thread that it was like over 11 hours from Heathrow to LAX. Do you have a non-stop?

We watched the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, which were great. Then at midnight the news came on and they had a live shot of Beijing. They are 15 hours ahead of us.

Yes I can. Just think a week from today, I will all snug as a bug in my bed at the Grand California.

We have a great pic of Dev when he was about 6 sitting on a boulder at an overlook of Yosemite Valley. It's one of my fav's.

Yes, we leave on Friday for our non-stop flight to LAX. About 12hrs. Then we have the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We must be mad!

I've got the opening ceremony to watch...hopefully today if I'm lucky.

Never did get to see all of the opening ceremonies last night, I fell asleep about 9:30pm just after the parade of nations started.....

We missed about the first 45 min of it. Sean DVR'd the rest, it was a really great ceremony. Sean is hoping they may put it out on DVD. I think the best part of the whole ceremony was the little boy that walked with the China team. He was a victim of the earthquake there. In a class of 30, 20 of his classmates were killed. He dug himself out of the rubble, then went back to save 2 more classmates. When asked why he did that. He said " I was a class monitor, it was my job" He was so adorable! The true hero of that team (of over 600 athletes I may add )
