i'd better watch out or i wont be able to use my heart as an excuse to get out of doing things anymore.:rolleyes1

woo hoo your heart is doing great. prayers are with you and Robin from us. Diane

Brenda the Rainforest at the Animal Kingdom has become our favorite place at WDW for breakfast too. Rach and I love the Pie of the Viper, its a breakfast pizza and it is large enough for the 2 of us to share. I can't remember off hand the name of what Al always gets but it has steak and eggs and breakfast potatoes.

Thanks for the info, Cheryl! I have a feeling Jay will want to try RFC's version of tonga toast since we won't be hitting Kona for breakfast on this trip. But then again ... since the tonga sauce nearly killed him last October ( ;) ) he may want to avoid it altogether.

We're back home from the grad party. Oh my, I think I will have to put in a six hour workout tomorrow to make up for what I ate today. The food that Gayle put was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo delicious. I didn't overdo it, but I did have fun tasting a little of just about all the dishes.........:rotfl:

And the fresh, homemade blueberry pie, was to die for........:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi everyone! We are home, and sad to have left our happy place. I will try to load some pics soon, but I am getting ready to unpack, so I guess I just wanted to check in..... and say to Lori----

Lori--check your pm box and call me.:goodvibes

Glad to see you're home safe and sound Sistah P! :thumbsup2

Nancy hope your enjoying your day in the Dells. I'll be waiting to hear if you think it is worth it to go and see empty Lake Delton. I am thinking about swinging by there Tues. morning when Rach and I are on our way up to my sister's.

Definitely worth it Cheryl. It was, however, heartbreaking. We actually walked "in" the lake and took pictures of the house we all saw on the news.:sad1:

thanks.:grouphug:

hey lori...
when's that medical man and family going to get out of your basement?
robin and i are tired of living in the bus terminal.:rolleyes1

Cath just said they were too comfy and weren't moving out. Plus she irons Scott's clothes and Sean was "hoovering" today, so it looks like I will try to keep them around. Although they do like food that touched.:scared1:

OK, here we go with the pictures of "Lake Delton" after the dams failed and the entire lake drained into the Wisconsin River.

This is a picture of what is left of Lake Delton now. The "lake" actually began where you see the end of the grass.

A few guys from Illinois thought it would be fun to drive onto the lake and take a picture. We got to watch them for at least 10 minutes trying to get their stupid truck out of the lake then. They had to drive down a huge dip to get down there. Dumb kids!!!

At least a few of the business owners found a bit of humor in their devastation.

These are the pontoons for rent....what's left of them.

This is a shot of the Tommy Bartlett Water Show that has been going on in the Dells for almost 50 years. They plan on being back next year when the lake is refilled.

This is what's left of the house you all saw video of on the news. It's one of homes that were completely lost by falling off the edge right into the lake and getting washed down the Wisconsin River.
LakeDelton021.jpg

An all too familiar scene around the entire Lake. I would be safe to say that 3/4 of all the properties are now for sale. Very very sad stuff here.

A Why would anyone want to sell their lake house FO!!!
(by they way are the selling for cheap?, it's a dream of mine to own a house by a lake)

Good Morning Shipmates, I trust everyone is having a nice weekend!!! :goodvibes

Definitely worth it Cheryl. It was, however, heartbreaking. We actually walked "in" the lake and took pictures of the house we all saw on the news.:sad1:

How sad that must of been MG. Our local news showed the clip of the house falling in the water the other night again. It still gives me chills watching that news clip.

MG, those pics were just so sad, I sure do hope they can get fixed whatever needs to be fixed and get the lake and businesses up and running again. I feel so sorry for the people that were affected by this.
