I'm just here to tell you fine people that all the hype about The Dark Knight is absolutely deserved. It is unbelievably good, and I'm not typically a fan of comic book / superhero movies.

Wow ... that's all I can say ... just wow. And double wow for Heath Ledger's performance.

bummer, Now there's another movie I've got to see. Hollywood is bankrupting me this year!

I'm sure you'd really enjoy this one Steve ... all those critics reviews were spot on this time. And it also has some really grim, funny moments. You can't help but laugh and yet feel a little wrong for laughing.

I'm sure that you're right, which is the problem. I was hoping to wait until it was on DVD and now you've got me thinking I should see it while it is still on the big screen.

Yes the wind has dropped and we have the start of a lovely day. We have my niece and her fiance coming for lunch today...so not a lot of time for the DIS. Have a good day eveyone.

But of course..........

It's going to be hotter and even more humid here today than it was yesterday, but I don't have any plans to be outside all that much. Lina and some of her friends are heading to the shore for the day, but I told her to be very careful because of the ripe tides at the shore. Lina said when she goes in the water she doesn't go about above her knees, she doesn't like the salt water getting in her face. That's my girl!!!

Still, I won't feel better until I know she is home, safe and sound tonight.

Three young men drowned last weekend at the shore because of the rip tides.

Good morning all.

Went to to a baby shower yesterday for a friend of mine's 21 year old unmarried daughter. We all went in a bought the big stuff since these kids have no $$ and have no clue what is going on. She got a crib, car seat, stroller, swing, changing table, high chair and a rocker. Our friend teared up thanking us for coming saying she had the best friends ever.

We are off to a water park today.

On a down note- some one ran into ds #1 car in a parking lot and didn't leave a note or anything. Side mirror was broken off and both doors are dented and scratched. Really makes me mad that people have so little respect for others and no conscience.

B: Glad you enjoyed the movie. Chuck and I are looking for something to do toady before our little whirling dervish comes home from AZ and the wedding consumes me again.

Joanne: WOW, that couple is all set up. That was a very sweet thing to do for her. Too bad about DS1's car though. People never cease to amaze me anymore either.

Just got home from my 100 minute 700 calorie burn-off workout this morning, now eating a nice salad with fat free dressing........

I think I might have pushed it a bit too much this morning. I bent over to pick up a piece of paper off the floor a few minutes ago and got very light headed. I took my BP and it was 92/68 it has never been that low before in my life. Sitting here relaxing and taking it easy for awhile.

And fear of my children around water is increased exponentially it's an Occupational Hazard, I deal with far too many drowning victims.

I'm not much of a shore (beach) person either. When we were at Vero Beach back in November 2002, I saw two baby sharks swim behind me, and I was only out, in the water, up to my knees. After seeing that I got a hold of Lina and out of the water we went. I waited until we were back on shore, then I told her about the baby sharks.
