THought I'd share the terrible beginning of my day. I saw in the paper yesterday that the Kyle Petty Chick-fil-a Across America was coming through our county. It was supposed to arrive bet. 8:15 and 8:30 near us.

DH and my dad both ride cycles, so I thought DS would like to go watch. We went out to the road about 8:00 just to be sure we didn't miss it. About 8:35, five bikes and several accompanying vehicles went by. DS said, "That's it. What a rip-off." We waited another 15 minutes just to be sure and came home. Well, we should have waited a few more minutes--several hundred bikes went thru! :headache: :headache: :headache:

I'm not telling DS.:headache: :headache:

I won't tell either.:sad1:

Going up to 95* here today as well Steve and 97* predicted for tomorrow with the heat index (high humidity) both days at 100-110. No relief in sight until early next week for us.........:sad2:

At least on the weekends I don't have to be out walking in this stuff.....:thumbsup2

I swear you really live in Va. We have the exact same weather most of the time.:goodvibes

Our favorite character breakfast is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I like that they do a family portrait with Mickey (to purchase, of course! But we always get it!)

I didnt think of that one:eek: - we always whizz thorugh it on the monorail and it looks good! Hmmm, maybe we could squeeze another meal in one day:rolleyes1

My kids loved it when Dad got whipped cream on his green beans for "dessert"! They bring it up all the time.:lmao:

The Uncle made Daddy open wide and did the aerop[lane with some veggies - Ellis thought it was hysterical.... I got a "clean plate" clap:goodvibes

Karen... You only had 4 more posts to make a page!!! Why did you stop???:goodvibes

I was too lazy:rotfl2:

havnt heard from paige in wdw for a little while. how dare she have fun with rob and the kids and not keep us updated.!!:lmao:

I was just thinking that too! - I'll give her a shout

"Hey! Paige!... give us an update"

Was that loud enough? :confused3 - do you think she heard me?:confused3

See what happens if you're off the boards for even a day and a half??? I think I had 10 pages to read on the last thread (with several posts I wanted to reply to!) And now, there are already 14 on here!

Well... my thoughts from the end of the last one:

First: Lori (Goofyfreak??? I'm still working on names!) was discussing the WDW week before or after the cruise. I wanted to add my sadness that we will only be able to stay for the Halloween party. We're taking the kids out of school as a birthday treat. I think 2 week would definitely be pushing it!!! This year for the 3 nighter we took, they only missed 3 days... and loved it!

Yes, I'm Lori. It's very hard keeping up with everyone. We will only be staying for the party also and flying home on Sunday. I'll have 2 in school by then so twice the homework for mom.;)

Karen, what are you doing up so late? I was going to do the same thing to paige and ask her where our disney fix pixs were!!

I'm major fed up tonight - just had a mamouth "trying on" session of all my summer stuff. :sad2:

I'm back to my pre-cruise weight, but still a looooong way off wearing lots of my clothes.

I tried on one dress and asked Neils opinion.........

Guess what he said...........

Go on,.... have a guess..............

He said, and I quote .............

"Its a little clingy":scared1:

CLINGY!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

He may as well have said "Take it off you fat cow":sad1:

Ok, so its my own stooopid fault for getting fat and then asking his advice, but he could have LIED!

CLINGY!I've sulked all evening since :(

Stooooopid man, I'm divorcing him tomorrow:rolleyes1

We did the Segway tour at WDW... you rode through World Showcase before it opened. Matthew did it alone first. Then he said I just had to do it too! So we booked the tour for the next day, hired a babysitter to take the kids around the park (with a company that Disney had listed). In order for her to come in to the park, she had to have a ticket. The cm gave us a freebie for her! (of course, the difference between us booking the tour or not vs the cost of the ticket.... kind of a no-brainer for them!) Anyway, the tour rocked!! Matthew fell in love with the Segways (he managed to get one for work!) and the kids had a ball with the sitter....and even asked if she could stay longer with them!:yay:

I didn't even realize there was a service like that. What a cool thing. I'm not sure if I could ride a segway though.:confused3

Hi Lori,

Just catching up on the thread and emails - its been a busy day here today, so I'm beind on chores.

It was Ellis' concert this morning, then his sports day this afternoon, so I'm behind on the housework. His karate suit has just been ironed so I'm off to bed now.

G'night:goodvibes

They just don't get it.:sad2: But be glad he didn't lie and you wear it and be uncomfortable in it all evening. Next time just ask Ellis.........kids love their mommy in anything.:lovestruc

Well, I guess I better feed these kiddos and do some work around here. Laundry awaits.:laundy:

I swear you really live in Va. We have the exact same weather most of the time.:goodvibes

Well, we are only a couple hundred miles away from you, stuck in this mid-atlantic warp..........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

She is mine.... And thank you very much. I, like you, am a late age parent. My contemporaries are starting to have Grandchildren and I'm still in the new parenting stage. But I'm loving every minute of it.

It is actually more common than most people think! I always have to be careful at work when I see an older person in the room with a young child. It is often a parent rather than a grandparent!

I like the "homework for mom" part! Matthew and I have both been in a position to ask: "What grade did we get?" ;)

I can't remember the name of the company. Matthew got the info from Guest Services. It is not a Disney company, but they work there a lot. I think they mostly do in room babysitting. We tried the kids club areas that a few of the resorts have, but the timing was wrong. The girl who stayed with Megan and Sarah was a college student. They thought it was great because she went wherever they wanted to go... not where Mom and Dad wanted!

The Uncle made Daddy open wide and did the aerop[lane with some veggies - Ellis thought it was hysterical.... I got a "clean plate" clap:goodvibes
:lmao: :rotfl2:
about 10 years ago, we had a "dad" who spoon fed me peas.
i didnt eat them. left them in my mouth till he turned his back.:thumbsup2
or course, my lovely bride has video of that also.:sad2:

i didnt get a clean plate sticker, but i did get a separate plate club award.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :thumbsup2
