Going up to 95* here today as well Steve and 97* predicted for tomorrow with the heat index (high humidity) both days at 100-110. No relief in sight until early next week for us.........:sad2:

At least on the weekends I don't have to be out walking in this stuff.....:thumbsup2

That's one good thing about the West Coast, next to no Humidity. So 95 is bearable (although I still really don't like heat, I'd rather cold any day)

Thanks for that am sure we can get it to change you mark my words Rain and cloudy by the time we get there.....:rotfl2:

PS...Steve no chance you could make our Mini DISS meet at DL on the friday night?...I'll buy the beer....:rolleyes1

Chris, I wish I could but Stuart starts School on the 13th which means that we have to be back home by then. So to Run down to SoCal that weekend would cost me well over $200 in gas alone that after I just left the previous weekend. I told Jeff that it just breaks my heart for you guys to be so close and still not able to go down and say Hi!

Not before you steal my Future weather Outlook report from steve....Tut tut.....:snooty: ......:rotfl2:

:rotfl:

See what happens if you're off the boards for even a day and a half??? I think I had 10 pages to read on the last thread (with several posts I wanted to reply to!) And now, there are already 14 on here!

Well... my thoughts from the end of the last one:

First: Lori (Goofyfreak??? I'm still working on names!) was discussing the WDW week before or after the cruise. I wanted to add my sadness that we will only be able to stay for the Halloween party. We're taking the kids out of school as a birthday treat. I think 2 week would definitely be pushing it!!! This year for the 3 nighter we took, they only missed 3 days... and loved it!

There were also several people discussing rooms and the value of the verandah. Personally, I LOVE my verandah! It is an awesome late night place to enjoy the sea. And a great morning wake up place. Sarah had breakfast on the verandah the first morning of our Med cruise last year and felt really special!

We now have an attachment to that room...our first cruise ever. So, we requested and got the same room.

Oh, I forgot who had the wonderful pictures of the little princess... great pictures!! She's adorable!

Well, now to catch up with this thread!:goodvibes

Ok, so I log onto the Dis, find our thread and ..uh? - cant quote or post a link?:confused3

I log off thinking its a glitch and log back on again... same thing:mad:

ok I thought, I'll just read it anyway..... the penny drops! - the thread is closed! - duh!:rolleyes1

So, here I am - I found y'all!:goodvibes

Except for the logging off part, that's exactly what happened to me! I was looking for the "quote" button and couldn't find it. It then dawned on me that the thread must be closed. And wouldn't you know it, I had TONS of things I wanted to say!:goodvibes

:lmao: No Karen bad mom would be giving them to Ellis.:lmao:

I just got a call from DH, a guy he works with won tickets to a concert that he can't go to so he asked Mike if he wanted them for FREE, so guess who I am going to see on Monday!!!!! THE EAGLES!!!! I hope I am not the only one here old enough to know who they are:scared1: I am so excited!!!

Well, the 2 people I was working with yesturday are too young! I'm starting to feel old... at 41! I am working with a nursing student who is doing an externship for the summer. I am old enough to be her mother withouta teen pregnancy!:scared1:

I work on a pediatric unit and we do get some adult overflow. But now, I'm old enough to be the mother of some of the "adults". It doesn't hit me with my kids because I was 31 when Megan was born (33 with Sarah).

:woohoo: about the tickets!

We're doing Prime time at MGM for lunch Dec 21 (cuz Ellis likes watching his Dad get told off by an "Uncle")

I'm all excited:yay: :yay: :yay: - can we go yet?

My kids loved it when Dad got whipped cream on his green beans for "dessert"! They bring it up all the time.:lmao:

Thanks Diane. Both restaurants sound lovely. As long as we get time for a photo with the characters we'll be happy. We've only ever done one character brekkie - Ohanas with Chip, Dale, Goofy and Mickey. It was great. I just want some nice photos of Ellis with the characters before he's too "cool" to want to do it:rolleyes: He already doesnt like queueing up for autographs and totally refuses to have his piccie taken with a "girl" character:rotfl: Kids eh! - he's 7 going on 17:rolleyes:

Our favorite character breakfast is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I like that they do a family portrait with Mickey (to purchase, of course! But we always get it!)

So, no-one answered me before - has anyone seen Wall-E yet? Did you like it? He's so cute:cutie:

Wall-E is very cute! The movie was very good... simple, but good.

We saw it when the kids were away at Grandma's! and Kung Fu Panda (also very cute movie). THEN finally saw Indiana Jones (which was actually a little disappointing...but hey, you can't have everything!

The kids saw Wall-E with their aunt. They both really liked it, too!

Question- what goodies have you gotten in your fish extender? I need ideas for my sept cruise. I am not creative so I really need easy!!

Thanks.

Truth be told... we bought Disney stickers at the dollar store to give out!

We did get some cute things that the kids loved: pirate rubber ducks, various candy, some key chains. We had some pirate themed like coins and spy glasses. So I guess it depends on who you're shopping for. I'm drawing a bland on the rest and my kids are in the basement so I can't ask Megan (who is likely to remember everything!)

Well, we're almost set...we booked our Segway tour at California Adventure today. Now....we need our cabin number.

Come on DCL....give us our cabin!

We did the Segway tour at WDW... you rode through World Showcase before it opened. Matthew did it alone first. Then he said I just had to do it too! So we booked the tour for the next day, hired a babysitter to take the kids around the park (with a company that Disney had listed). In order for her to come in to the park, she had to have a ticket. The cm gave us a freebie for her! (of course, the difference between us booking the tour or not vs the cost of the ticket.... kind of a no-brainer for them!) Anyway, the tour rocked!! Matthew fell in love with the Segways (he managed to get one for work!) and the kids had a ball with the sitter....and even asked if she could stay longer with them!:yay:

Let's see, we have received personalized pens, candy, persoanlized CD's, but the biggest thing we ever received were persoanlized Mickey Mouse pillowcases which we(Hazel and I) use on our pillows every night, yes, they do get washed once a week.

Those are awesome Andy! It gives me something to think about! :thumbsup2

Oh, I forgot who had the wonderful pictures of the little princess... great pictures!! She's adorable!

She is mine.... And thank you very much. I, like you, am a late age parent. My contemporaries are starting to have Grandchildren and I'm still in the new parenting stage. But I'm loving every minute of it.
