10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #10

Ok, a couple of questions...

FO??? what is that???

DIS Tag??

Andy answered the DIStag question, so I'll get this one.

FO is a game (for lack of a better description) that was started on the Konked Kruiser thread that some of us belonged to for the October 07 cruise. Don't ask me who started it or how, I joined that threead late.

Anyway, the game in a nutshell....if you post, and your post is the beginning of a page, then you try to get the second post on the page also. It means you have started a "Fresh One" or "First One" (I forget what the actual term was).

Now, this isn't always as easy as it seems - if there are multiple posters on at the same time, and someone else gets the second post, you don't get to "claim the FO". The 40 second rule between postings comes into play.

We had decided to stop playing this little game when the DIS instituted limits on the lengths of threads....but old habits die hard, I guess, because some of us still try to claim our FO's (I am guilty!). So, play, or ignore, either one is fine! We're all just about having fun and being fans of DCL one way or another here.

she's always wanted to go overseas.
i keep telling her she married the wrong dude for that. she should have married a guy for money but instead settled for a guy with the good looks.

I'll find a way to link to the slideshow(s) when it is done. I had over 3500 pictures to sort through. The London part was finished last year (180 pictures in the slideshow). The main cruise portion is about 570 pictures and our two days in Barcelona is another 120 for the slideshows. Yes, that is the short version.

I am breaking up the main cruise into three slideshows. I'll keep you updated.

DIS Tag



Dis Tag is a fun game to play while onboard with a specified amount of participants, so be sure to sign up early!

Basically the idea is to buy a small gift for each of the participants.
You will receive a spreadsheet and magnet from the Dis Tag Organizers (millerpjm & Karen Mouse) with all the names and
cabins listed. Throughout the week, you deliver your gifts all the while receiving them too!

You will start with the person listed directly below your name on the spreadsheet. Deliver your "gift" and leave the magnet at the top of their cabin door. Should your "gift" be too large to fit in the 'fish mail holder', locate any Stateroom Host/ess and request they take your gift directly into the room. When someone leaves you a gift and the magnet, deliver your surprise and received magnet to the next person on your list-and so on. When you get to the last person 'participating' at the bottom of the page, start at the top of the list. Continue until you get to the person listed above YOUR name.


So this means if we have 20 DISers who want to play tag, we will each have to bring 19 little gifts.

i though maybe you turned to the bottle since you have to send your baby off to school this year.
its exciting but sad at the same time ,right?
i promised our DS i'd be retired by the time addison goes to school so i can get her on and off the bus for them.

I'm ok with sending my baby off to school, not so happy about him growing up. Time goes too fast, and he's my one and only baby.

Just sitting here thinking about my little and how much she has grown. My little is sitting here in the livingroom with me at the moment, and she keeps asking why I am looking over at her, as tears are streaming down my face.

Does anyone else know Laura (from England) from shipboard entertainment? She's the one holding the net. We kept running into her everywhere. My family would joke about when the next "Laura siting" would be. Each time, she was in a different costume / outfit. She conducted our ship's tour, then she was in an evening gown for the Golden Mickey's, She was a pirate game show host for one activity. You name it, Laura was there!

That's DD Megan with the green goggles and DD Sarah in the black swimsuit crouching down by Megan's left leg.

Since it is 2:30 PDT, I would most likely be in or at the Quiet Cove Pool and/or Hot Tubs. If not there, then at the Buena Vista Theatre catching a movie.
