10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #10

thank you Karen for sharing the pictures. I was on the bike all day from Wichita Kansas to Lincoln Nebraska. We stopped at two Harley dealers. It was quite chilly on the bike today. Had to wear a jacket. Once we got to hotel we washed our clothes, ate a few snacks then went out to dinner for Prime Rib. Now I am dising and Walt is probably sleeping. We have a great view from our room. 8th floor. looking right into the University of Nebraska football stadium. Diane

Walt has a Heritage Softail. Harley. He bought it 15 months go. It is totally bling. Everyone always tells us how pretty it is. We really enjoy riding. We usually ride in Texas hill country so today was alittle different. flat farmland. it was pretty. It has been alot of fun so far. There was no rain today. Thank goodness. Just alittle cooler. Walt stops every hour and half. We rode 316 miles today. Tomorrow is a longer ride to Waterloo Iowa. Diane

Walt and I plan on doing alot of traveling on our bike once he retires. next April. He has the whole summer planned. We will see. Diane

I still have to figure out exactly what Christmas family stuff we'll do while down there. We will be flying home on Christmas Eve.

Jay and I had a lot of time to talk it over while spending lots of time in airplanes and at airports this weekend. Basically he told me to just go for the events I wanted this year because we will be very limited next year since we're doing the cruise. I think he also felt bad about how bad I felt this weekend (that much time crammed into an airline seat is hard on the back and I can't take the darvocet as much as I'd like for the pain because it makes me a queasy wheezy). So, my hubby spoiled me and let me run with it this morning and the end result is that we will grow large with food in October.

Amelia woke up at 5am crying so I had to go upstairs to get her. She's in our bed sleeping right now. EB is traveling and should be home tonight.

We're really excited and hope that the events live up to the price tags. Our only repeat is PFTS, so we're happy that we nabbed three new events to try this fall especially since they scaled back so much on their programming compared with previous years.

And, we still have a list of ADRs a quarter mile long ... and that list includes a dinner at Victoria and Albert's!!!

I think I may need a third stomach for this trip!

Good morning everyone! Today is the last day of freedom for our kids. Tomorrow is the first day of 1st and 3rd grade for Jay and Sam respectively.

I saw Gustav lurking near Hispanola. What are the first couple of ports for the EB repo? I used to know but I forget. If the itinerary stays south, they should be fine.
