Just to prove I don't tell fish stories my middle son and I went again this afternoon. he caught 13 and I caught 12. I caught the biggest 26 inches and 10 lbs.

I've done 4th of July and it's crazy crowded but the fireworks are incredible!

Right after Thanksgiving is a great time to go. All the decorations are up, lines are short and the Christmas events are happening (MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, etc.). Each resort has a gingerbread in their lobby and the chefs complete with one another. The Beach Club had an entire carousel, complete with moving horses, made out of gingerbread! It's fun just to tour around the resorts just to see the gingerbread! There is also a holiday backstage tour which is supposed to be fabulous.

I would love to go at Christmas because I never have. It blows my mind I have been going there since I was 10 years old and never went at Christmas. If I had 2 weeks, I wouldn't care about crowds, though knowing myself, I would probably try to go as soon after Thanksgiving as I could.

Yikes! We have one of those today. Beth and I usually both go if we can. Today, she is on her own though. I never know what the teacher is going to say. I just cross my fingers that there are no "unpleasant" surprises.

Usually parents hear all the good things from there kids. However, anything not so good usually doesn't come out until the conference.

Yep, I think parents are much more scared of conferences than we teachers. So many schools put teachers together for conferences now, and I think that must be intimidating. At my school, teachers only meet together with parents if there are similar concerns shared by more than one teacher. My conferences went fine today, but in all honesty, I think the lowest grade on any report for students I had was an 85. I was lucky!

Good Night Folks..........I have to be at the lab at 6:30 tomorrow morning, it's time for my annual CBC. I see my family doc for my annual physical on November 4th and I want to have my CBC results before I see him. I'm sure he will be much happier with me when I see him in a couple of weeks.......

I'm hoping to either be taken off my blood pressure medicine, or have the dosage reduced. I still have a few more weeks to get some more weight off before I see the doc!!!

Since I finished the Business Books a day early, I decided to take a vacation day tomorrow. See ya in the morning........
