That's OK...I posted this before I saw your post saying you were heading back to work!

I'm doing fine! I spent some time last night working on the designs for the t-shirts I'm making for the family. I asked everyone to pick their favorite Disney character and I'm putting a BOB "pocket size" design on the front of the shirt and a character design on the back of the shirt. I think they'll be cool!

Ok, now it's my turn to head back to work....Bye!

Joanne - Its a small choix pastry ball filled with cream and covered with chocolate. You have it as a dessert.

Cafe Fiorello makes them with ice cream (instead of cream), then covered with chocolate from the copper pot. Ummm good!

Skimmed the Fleet Week pictures. I will have to look at them when I am not late to work. LONG day today - parent conferences this afternoon and evening, so I won't be on till our friends overseas are probably back in beddy-by! See you all later!

Yikes! We have one of those today. Beth and I usually both go if we can. Today, she is on her own though. I never know what the teacher is going to say. I just cross my fingers that there are no "unpleasant" surprises.

Usually parents hear all the good things from there kids. However, anything not so good usually doesn't come out until the conference.

I've done 4th of July and it's crazy crowded but the fireworks are incredible!

Right after Thanksgiving is a great time to go. All the decorations are up, lines are short and the Christmas events are happening (MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, etc.). Each resort has a gingerbread in their lobby and the chefs complete with one another. The Beach Club had an entire carousel, complete with moving horses, made out of gingerbread! It's fun just to tour around the resorts just to see the gingerbread! There is also a holiday backstage tour which is supposed to be fabulous.

I can't wait! Just 41 days to go!!!

We are driving down Thanksgiving Day. We will start out at All Star Movies for three nights with just myself and the girls. Then Beth, my brother and his wife, sister, and cousin come to join us. We all move to Old Key West for five nights in the Grand Villa.

I just hope that I survive the drive. It will be the first time driving straight through from Washington DC to WDW in one day.

I really need a vacation. (Don't we all...)

I haven't stuck them on t-shirts yet, but I'll post designs tonight. They're pretty basic, but I have to ease the family into this whole experience slowly!

Glad to to see the pictures of the Blue Angles. They were here in Brunswick Naval station last month for the annual Great State of Maine Air Show.
Just setting with a cup of coffee and wife is still snoozing.
I thought after we retired I would be able to sleep late NOT the old body clock.

I have had that avatar since coming on the DIS, and my tag fairy tag was getting old, so I thought I would go with the Captain Jack motif.

Well... I never had a party, but I did go to Borders at Midnight (finally) to get the last book. I made Megan come with me. When speculation came out about 7/7/07 as a possible release date, I cringed...That was our sail date for the Med! Then, I was ecstatic because it ended up coming out on my birthday!!! I did a controlled read so it would last longer. I also have all of the audio cd's. Matthew finally heard all the books instead of just seeing the movies. I've read and listened to all 7 at least twice each!

That is so funny because I made my DD (Megan 18) go with me at midnight to get the HP book. We actually bought one for me, one for her and one for DS (Ryan 23). Have you read the Twilight series? I have started the first book and it is pretty good. Meg loved them.

Oh My, the funniest thing just happened to me. I was in a warehouse attempting to read the water meter. The meter is on the top of two 6" pipes about 6' above the floor. The only way to get to the meter is to stand on the bottom pipe, which I have done hundreds of times. Well, this morning I lost my footing and started slipping off the lower pipe, as I was slipping off, my foot kicked the emergency valve and water went spraying everywhere. By the time I was able to get to the valve and shut the water off, I looked like a drowned rat. Luckily, no one saw what had happened. I quickly climbed back on the pipe, being extra careful since it was now wet, read the meter, and ran out of the buliding. I had one more building to go to after this happened and you should have seen the looks I got going in there as I was still dripping wet.........

I got home for lunch a few minutes ago and put a dry set of work clothes on for this afternoon...........

i love this story.
it reminds me of 20 years ago, i got my baby brother a job at the place i work.
he was right out of high school. they stuck him on driving a towmotor (without the proper break in time)
#1 rule is to drive it with the forks DOWN.
well he went flying thru with the forks up and hit a major water line, broke it and shut a whole dept down for hours.
the guys all said the funniest part was, out of panic, he stuck his hands up there on the pipe like he was going to stop the water from coming out.

he hung around for a couple of years, then wised up, went to college and works at a hospital in anastesia(sp) now.(smarter than me)
