I'm a little more 'well rounded' than I'd like, but I'm workin' on it. Andy is my inspiration!

You and me both. I went to the gym tonight for the first time since before the cruise. I probably won't walk tomorrow.

Oh no - you didn't; it was funny. I just never even thought of it being taken that way - even in jest.

I know just what you mean - the one here in Brunswick is always dirty even though they've had many different managers. Over in Freeport (home of LL Bean) there's a nice one in an old house that's kept up very well.

I had to get a cortisone shot in my ankle last Saturday and I have a stupid soft cast so I can't do anything right now. It's coming off on Sat. but then I don't know what new torture he has planned for me!

What did you do to yourself?

I broke my ankle in 3 places and dislocated it 25+ years ago. It's given me trouble over the years but it seems to have gotten worse this year. Got a cortisone shot in July, which lasted through the cruise, but it just started to bother me again. I have a new foot doctor, so I'm hopeful he will be able to make it better so I can do some serious exercising again.

Did you have a choice about the job? Do you have to keep it in order to stay employed?

Yes, I am hoping it calms down after this initial craziness. Today I had the VP of IT on the phone asking this computer idiot about software cost, support and phone & internet lines. The CFO was trying to call me and the President of the management side is in our office going through all the bills. Since they fired the HR person I now have to compare health ins bills to p/r deductions...
But in this economy I am glad to be employeed. One of the other managemnt companies in town was in the paper for lowering every ones salary by 25%. So we just do what they tell us and smile doing it.

Well, I've got it all done. Here's my pics of Halloween '08

The Graveyard in Daytime. Last year I had the graveyard lit with one channel this year, I have four devoted to it. It's much more dynamic now.

Looks a bit better this way. I stole many of the Gravestone engravings from Disneyland.

Jack Skellington makes his 3rd appearance in my front yard this year.

A close up look at the porch and the Pumpkin Choir. They do all of the singing.

A better look at the Pumpkins. I replace the three in the lower center this year. I carved the last ones and was never happy with them.

A couple of views of the Pirates. The Ships wheel is made from plywood and PVC. The pirates are some very cheap skeletons dressed with thrift store clothing and then I replaced the cruddy skulls with some more realistic ones. The Treasure chest looks great. I have red, blue, yellow and white lights that flicker at random creating a sparkling mass of jewels.
