If you're looking at Oct. 31 I'd get tickets as soon as they go on sale because of the populartity of that date. There are a lot of people here that have talked about going that night so I'm sure when the info for the parties for next year comes out it will be posted and talked about here more :goodvibes The party is alot of fun, we've been a few times! We're still debating on whether or not we will go that night, we're waiting to see what the prices are.

We are going that night. But, I am hoping to check into our hotel and get a good nap beforehand. Last year when we got off the ship we went to the parks and about collapsed near the end of the evening.

AFEG, Scott came home from the store yesterday with a HUGE bag of miniature Snickers. I asked him why he would do that and he said "They were 50% off". Does he not know how hard I'm trying to lose weight? I love 'em though and have already eaten a few!:scared1: :scared1: The faster I eat them the sooner they will be gone. RIGHT!?:rotfl:

Christian, or anyone near NYC, I am going to NYC for one day on a bus trip in Dec. Is there something that I should just not miss at Christmas there? I have only been to the city once and know I want tot do a bus tour, just so we can see the whole city but I don't want to miss out on a "must see". I am taking Alex and Julia. Also going is my sister and her DD and my BF and her DD. We are very excited. The girls don't know we are taking them yet. Alex has always wanted to go to NYC. So, I am really excited for her.:cool1:

Store windows and the tree!

If I didn't have to get up and clean this house I would try to finish this thread alone. You are all probably all on the new thread just chatting away by now.:lmao:

Store windows and the tree!
Yeah, the tree. I am sooooo excited. Which stores are the best. We are being dropped off in front of Macy's. I need to get a map so I can see what is where.

Sean or Cath, didn't you all get someone to take you around the city for a day? I wonder if that would work for us?

Yeah, the tree. I am sooooo excited. Which stores are the best. We are being dropped off in front of Macy's. I need to get a map so I can see what is where.

You can't miss them - usually there is a very long line snaking along in front of Macy's, Saks, etc... NYC is great Christmas!

Thanks Cheryl! Just what I needed to know! And of course, we're looking at the all popular night - since that is when we get back from the cruise. We just want to experience it; we're not even big on Halloween.

Annette and i wont be going on the 31st. We will go before the cruise. We do it every year. We did it once on halloween and the waits were long and the park was crowded. All of the locals tend to go on the weekend and on halloween.

Unfortunately we can't get down there early enough to go before the cruise - I wish we could!!!!!

Maybe I will change our mind and go before the cruise also. That way we wouldn't be so tired. On, I don't know. I guess I have a few months to figure it out.:thumbsup2

Which Macy's? Look for the one with the orginial wood escaletor. That is so cool. I think it's the one on 34th st. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I havent been to NYC since 4 of July 2002.

My husband just said we could go early if I didn't have to teach - I told him I'd quit! I could quit tomorrow if it means more trips to Disney. Heck, I could quit today - I have home phone numbers. He said I misunderstood him - we could go early except I have to teach - so we can afford to go at all! :rotfl:

Hey Amanda - I've missed seeing you and Annette on here!

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is quite good. Ice skating at the Rock, 5th avenue shopping and looking at the window displays. If you are feelign spontaneous and want to see a show try the TIX booth in Times Square for same day reduced show. There are a lot of great shows currently running, and a few of them are Disney shows.

One day seems pretty short, but the Christmas Spectacular and/or shopping would be a good single day treat.
