Wow, thats crazy! I would have a real hard time with that.

There is a bridge on the NYS Thruway Berkshire extension just south of Albany that really weirds me out. I don't know if it is a combination of height and the fact there there is a metal crate between the east and west bound lanes, but I hate driving across that bridge. Other bridges such as the Tappan Zee and GWB don't weird me out at all, but for some reason, I hate that bridge!

It was stated that the salary for a first year bridge worker is just over $48,000 I thought it would be a lot more than that for that dangerous type of work, another..........:faint:

That does seem low and one would think that is a union based job.:confused3

My scary bridge is the Robert Moses Causeway on LI. First real bridge I ever crossed when learning to drive. Scared the snot out of me :scared1:

My bridge selection would be the Potomac River Bridge in Virginia. I just crossed this bridge Monday morning on the way home from the DISmeet. This bridge is only one lane in each direction. This past Monday there was work being done on the bridge and at one point only one lane was open on the bridge at a time. Our side was stopped while we were at the very top of the bridge......:faint:

I have always called this bridge........"The White Knuckle Bridge" :faint:

With all this bridge talk, I hope I don't dream about it tonight........

Last night I dreamed I saw a plane crash in Atlantic City, the really bad part is that Lina was in Atlantic City when the plane went down. I woke up in a cold sweat this morning and didn't dare try going back to sleep after that.

I am trying to figure out where exactly that is and if I have been on it. I am sure I have at one point.

Oh, BTW, I found gas for $3.02 this morning, yesterday, the same station was $3.07

Well Folks, that's it for me tonight. I'm heading off to bed soon, see ya in the morning........:wave2:

Actually, no I don't. He and Richard Griffiths were outstanding, but this is a pretty dark play. There were lots of people there that had no idea what the play was about - in fact a few (just a few) folks left at the intermission. I have to admit that I was pretty shaken up by the recreation of the blinding.

Kate Mulgrew as absolutely awful - she seemed to be attempting to channel Katherine Hepburn. I cringed everytime she came on stage.

Kate Mulgrew kind of had that feel doing Star Trek Voyager as well, actually. But it worked okay as a Starship captain... but maybe not in this play.

I actually heard Dan had good reviews in London as well. But I definitely knew I would not be likely to go see it given the theme of the play.

Sean and I have been talking and we want to renew our vows on the KK4 cruise (25th anniversary) .:cool1: Who's coming?:rotfl2: :confused3
:lmao: Haven't even gotten to KK2 and we are planning for KK4.

Sounds like my husband! :lmao: Matthew (EPCOT VA, in case you don't know!) is always planning a trip or 3 ahead!

So, what year are you thinking of???

Okay... saw a later post: 2012. That year will be our 23rd. We'll pass 20 in July before the B.O.B. cruise... but our celebration for the cruise is the girls' birthdays!

We are ever so pleased to note that the Cubs are 0-2 in their best-of-five playoff series against the Dodgers! :cool1:

In St. Louis ... you're automatically a fan of anyone playing the Cubs. :lmao:

The Dodgers are now the only team I might tune in to watch...and that depends on who's pitching. I have loosely followed the career of Greg Maddox. He was in our class in high school. I've always said... if I get into financial trouble, I'll just sell my yearbook...complete with autograph!

Hi Guys,

I have some not so great news. We have decided not to go on the October 24th cruise. As that week gets closer in '08 I realize that with the activities the kids are in that it won't be a week that we can be away.

I sort of new this all along but I tried to think it would all work out. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of you and I will probably lurk a little just to keep up.

Maybe KK3.

So sorry to hear this Tanya. :sad1: I do hope you'll stick around and DIS with us though.

I'm not sure of the name of the one in Florida near Ft Myers (perhaps Edison??). Back in 1986 we had to cross one that was only a temporary bridge. Seems like the original was hit by a cruise ship and destroyed. Well this replacement bridge did not have any cement guard rails up on the side...just chicken wire. Well....ok, maybe not chicken wire, but whatever it was sure didn't leave us with that "feel good" feeling.

Oh, BTW, I found gas for $3.02 this morning, yesterday, the same station was $3.07

We're still at $3.45/gallon. :sad2:

So sorry to hear this ... we'll miss you on the cruise. Don't be a stranger on this thread or the 6,000 others we'll have before next October. ;)
