UK peeps - I presume by now you've all heard about xl airlines going bust. Bet your glad you got booked with Virgin now arent you

I know lots of people who are out of pocket til ATOL get it sorted.

OK - I have a spooky tale to tell you about.

On Thursday on our way to work, we both said at the same time that perhaps we aught to try and book XL through Travel City Direct (on the recommendation of Daddy Warbucks) and whilst at work Rick got a quote.

He also got a quote from Virgin and they came out cheaper. So we decided on that basis that we would not take up the quote. Rick was expecting a call later on that evening, but none was forthcoming.

Then on our way to work on Friday, we here that XL and all their companies have gone bust!

Morning all! The guys had a terrific time but were soaked to the skin. Glad they saw such a great game. Now, my Buckeyes on the other hand...... is a subject that we will NOT discuss!

More homework today. Finally had time to unpack this am.

Andy, your weather was here on Friday. We only had the temps in the 70's but the humidity was 90%. Ike will be here tomorrow. You all be careful out there!!!

Lina just told me she got a text message from her friend Samantha, asking if Lina wanted to go to the Phillies game tonight with her family. Samantha said this is going to be a birthday gift from her and her family. The Phillies are playing a team from WI called the Hops, Yeasters or Brewers, or something like that.......

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all having a great weekend.

It is now, the AC was NOT working this morning in church, do you know how hot it gets in a sanctury with over 1,000 people and no AC, especially when the temp outside is approaching 90* with very high humidity. Hazel and I just about ran to the car and turned the car AC up on full blast!!!

Now we are home, where it is a comfortable 79*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I'm not a trolley dolley, (although I could point out the emergency exits and show you my whistle for attracting attention). I just have my sources I also know that a lot of peoples flights have now returned to the original prices with Virgin so we got in just in time

I got screen shots and then I photographed my pc screen of the detailed photos as there was no way of savbing those. If you look back on thread ten on the date you went through the canal you should find them easy enough. We posted loads that day, loads of us were chatting as we watched you all sail through.
