And we are at 16 days or 15 and a wake up!!! I do like that.

hummm - i had no idea they did those interviews...we didn't hear any of that...we left Candlestick as soon as they had us leave - 5:30 or so and didn't get home till 12:30 am....mind you it is normally only a ONE HOUR drive
That's what you folks get for living in California - sure you have beautiful weather all year round, close proximity to DisneyLand, a short flight to Hawaii and other Coastal areas - but you have to live with those Earthquakes. It was funny watching my husbands reaction in the middle of the night a couple of years ago when we had an earthquake (we are near the New Madrid fault but ironically that one wasnn't the one that set off) - I was like go back to sleep, it's just an earthquake and it ended up being a 5.4. Guess living in California on/off got me so used to it, it didn't really phase me.
We only have to deal with the crazy Tornados and nasty Thurnderstorms, oh yeah and the hot and humid summers...
I miss living near the beach (Navy Brat). We used to spend our summers in San Jose where my mother was born/raised and my mother's family is still out there (my uncle is the fire captain at one of the Santa Cruz fire departments). Trust me, never in a million years did I think I would live in the mid-west. But honestly, I would miss the seasons now and I love St. Louis. It's been a great place to raise a family - small town vibe with a big city reality (ok, not Chicago type big but you know what I mean).
Ahhh Laura - that is SWEET and their expressions will be priceless!!! Have DH standing by with camera in hand to catch that moment!!!
TRUE TRUE Anjelica....BUT you get those storms and tornadoes EVERY year....we hardly ever have EQ's!! so i don't know if i knew or if forgot you had family SOOOO close to me....
Hello everyone, How are all the final preparations going? Has been very busy and stressful at work. All I keep thinking about is how close we are to be on vacation.
Brenda, got my FE list and thanks for all you hard work
Have the girls stuff all packed. Just have to put finalized stuff in. All shopping is done. Next I will pack my stuff and we should be completely done on the 17th. I have limited days and weekends that me and dh are home together. We are leaving on the 20th at night, I will be off, girls will be at preschooland DH at work that day. So I can make sure everything is done. I told DH (since he likes to wait till last minute to pack) that I want to be relaxing that day (mani/pedi) and all packing and house work will be done prior to that day. My girls are little so they know that the mickey mouse boat is soon but they have no idea when. So on the 20th I will be taking them to preschool
and dh will go to work and they'll have no idea and then just pick them up earlier than we usually do. Take them home give them a bath, then just bring out their new back packs and tell them IT"S TIME TO GO!! I can't wait to see the look on their faces
Good morning to all, and just wanted to give a shout-out to Brenda for all her hard work on the fish extender organization and everything else. THANK YOU, BRENDA!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Hi everyone!
does anyone know if you are able to catch NFL games on the boat on the Sunday we are out at see? We are huge Saints fans and we would hate to miss a game!!
Hi Everyone! I was wondering if you all could help me come up with ideas for a gift basket for Jason's 40th birthday. To be honest, he really isn't into stuff like this, but I just feel like I have to do SOMETHING special. I was thinking of getting one of those totes from Shirley and having her stuff it with stuff...but what??? He doesn't really drink (except for Pina Coladas and Margaritas and occasional rum and cokes), we will already be doing a grocery stop on the way for water, sodas and candy type necessities, so what can I put in the basket??? I don't really want to spend too much since I'm not even sure if he will like it. He does like sports a lot, but I need some other ideas.
Also, I have 3 kids (ages 9, 6 and 2). So, maybe I could put a few extras in there. Problem is we have pretty much everything we need for the trip as far as pirate's night, snacks, etc.
Please let me know what thoughts you have!
