Okay...so it's Monday morning here at work. Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to keep my mind on my job and off this cruise for the next 8 hours? I've got to tell ya', it's getting harder and harder to concentrate these days. I so want to drop everything and head to Florida right now! I'm ready to sail away.

I started thinking of theis cruise months in advance. In March or April of this year, I was entering an October date on our docket, and said to myself, "great, I'll be gone that week!!!"

I'm also very busy thinking ahead to my November 2010 Wonder back2back cruises.

Planning for cruises is therapeutic.

I just signed my husband up to para-sail on this cruise at Castaway Cay. He has never been before... I wonder when I should tell him I did this??

If it was me you would have to find a way to get me on it without me knowing and tell me when I was done.

I guess when to tell him depends on the reaction you expect. If it is something you know that is desired wait and surprise him,. If not you might want to say something now anmd take time to get ready for it. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

on one of the othr sites they have a picture of mickey and minnie sitting on thr balcony looking out at the snow covered mountains in alaska wth the cruise date on it...that would make a great t-shirt , we can wear thm on the first day so we will know each othr...

Hello to all.

Hope this finds all doing well as we all continue to count down the days till we sail.

Welcome to the newbies. Glad to hear some/all have posted about plans to enhance their sailings with plans at; WDW, port and Castaway Cay. We still have a few loose ends to tie up...but are excited to see this vacation is just around the corner.

We've had a 'stroke of bad luck' with our air conditioner. Coming home from work on Friday...we noticed some high temps in our home. Our AC guy reviewed and would not be able to fix it till Saturday. So, we needed to spend the evening with family. Can I say...I'm soooo grateful for the grace family offers. We are back in our home with a working AC unit enjoying much cooler temps.

Sorry to hear about the ac. I would say you could join us up here but that wouldn't help as the heat and humidity has returned big time...

Boy do I ever need a vacation right now!!!!!

My dw is kind of shy and has been driving herself crazy with something and I am hoping someone will be able to help her out. She is looking for a dress to wear for dinner on the cruise and is having a hard time. Did anyone order there dress online? Please if you have some suggestions pm her and maybe it will take a little stress off her. Thanks so much...Bob

Hi, Bob. I've never ordered a formal/semi-formal dress online. What is it that she is looking for? I'm sure that there are plenty of ladies here, myself included who would love to help, just need a bit more info.

Does she know what style of dress she is looking for? Long, short, cocktail-length, strapless, spaghetti straps, color, material? The list could be endless. However, the bottomline is, I'm sure that whatever she chooses to wear will be perfect as long as she feels good and comfortable in it.

Hi again, Joanie.

Well, the activities that we have planned so far are, a Meet-and-Greet, that will be held Saturday at 3:00pm in the Promenade Lounge, just before the lifeboat drill.

Then on Sunday, a tour of some of the different catergory cabins will be held at 10:00am. That will probably begin at the Roy O. Disney suite on deck 8. You need to hurry to sign up for this. I believe the cut-off to sign up is this Friday.

We also have a Celebratory Party that we are trying to put together for Monday, between 2-3:00pm. This is a party to celebrate all of the special ocassions folks are celebrating during this cruise.

Last is the FE gift exchange. This is like a Secret Santa sort of thing. FE stands for Fish Extender, so name because they are place on the "Fish" that is outside of all of the staterooms where notes are left for the occupants. The FE is a hanging article with pockets where people place gifts.

The cut-off date to sign up for that is Monday, August 23rd, so hurry if you would like to participate in that.

Whew!!! I think that just about covers it. We are also maintaining a list of booked excursions, Palo and spa ressies, so folks can arrange to meet with other DISers who are doing those things at the same time.

If you need more info, just ask. Someone will be sure to answer it for you.

Oh, and as far as the shirts go, my DH and I have already made some shirts for the 2 of us with the cruise logo on it. We will probably be wearing those on the first day.
