ahhhh - where is going to school?
Yep hoping this 3 day trip to DL will hold me for the 7 wks till i hit WDW on 10/20 as well!! Don't always go, but this time we are doing Club 33

Hey, Strawberry Brenda, we are going to be at WDW on the 20th as welll. Where are you staying?

And I am so jealous about you all going to Club 33. I want to so badly to check that place out. We are probably going to DL again before the cruise as well. That should hold us for a little while anyway !

Boy, I have a lot to catch up on.

I wanted to find out how many cabins you all think is good number for the FE gift exchange? Right now it looks like there are about 46-50 cabins participating. Let me know. And remember that Monday is the cut off date to join. I want folks to have a chance to get their gifts together.

I will be updating the FE list and main thread over the next few days.

And I'd like to welcome all of our newcomers to our thread.

My husband works at ellington field right next to one of Nasa's hangers. We don't get a lot of large military planes here but NASA has one huge strange looking plane. I think they call it the guppy

Oh that is so cool Do you know what the Guppy is used for?

Hello to all.

Hope this finds all doing well as we all continue to count down the days till we sail.

Welcome to the newbies. Glad to hear some/all have posted about plans to enhance their sailings with plans at; WDW, port and Castaway Cay. We still have a few loose ends to tie up...but are excited to see this vacation is just around the corner.

We've had a 'stroke of bad luck' with our air conditioner. Coming home from work on Friday...we noticed some high temps in our home. Our AC guy reviewed and would not be able to fix it till Saturday. So, we needed to spend the evening with family. Can I say...I'm soooo grateful for the grace family offers. We are back in our home with a working AC unit enjoying much cooler temps.

Okay...so it's Monday morning here at work. Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to keep my mind on my job and off this cruise for the next 8 hours? I've got to tell ya', it's getting harder and harder to concentrate these days. I so want to drop everything and head to Florida right now! I'm ready to sail away.

Sunshine Brenda - we are in the "TREEHOUSES" at Saratoga!!!! I arrive MCO about 10ish on the 20th which is also my BD!!!! no better place than WDW to celebrate!!!
Hey if you & Eric decide to go to DL wkend of 8/27 - let me know - our Club 33 ressies are for 4 on sat 8/28 but 2 gals are not going to make it...and i haven't changed them to a party of 2 yet....

My son will be going to Heald in January for a degree in IT Security ( I work for Corinthian Colleges and they have about 300 plus schools, so he will pay 1/2 of what other students pay) after that he wants to take Cisco classes etc..... So he will be in the IT Security field which since 9/11 is booming. He got through 1 security system at school and showed them the systems weakness, so then the district bought new upgraded software and he got through that as well so I am hoping he takes this "talent" and put it to good use safeguarding some high techs business and or our country. Now, if he would only clean his room

Funny you mention Club 33. We were on the Club 33 wait list for 10 years and last year we were approved to be members, but by then we had already been on a Disney Cruise and we chose to decline the membership (super expensive) and book more crusies with Disney instead. We were bit so hard by the Disney Cruise Line bug the last time we sailed, that this is all we think about. Have a GREAT time at Club 33

that sounds like a perfect field to get into for sure - we are in the 'strawberry processing' business and bio-terrorism has been huge since 9/11...
I don't blame you for declining the Club 33 membership - i'd take the cruises over that too!!!! Looking forward to meeting you for sure!!!

If I had any suggestions, I wouldn't be on this board reading your post first thing in the morning I can relate to you totally. Remember we are in this together!!!!

I eat, sleep and work and all I think about all day long is this cruise. This addiction is even bigger than my pastry addiction

I just signed my husband up to para-sail on this cruise at Castaway Cay. He has never been before... I wonder when I should tell him I did this??

tell him not to parasail with a hangover, my DH did this and it wasnt pleasant and i never knew some one could actually turn green.

Now the news...we're going to be 1st time grandparents next year....yep my daughter & her hubby are expecting a baby mid Feb~so she's going to be about 22 wks when we sail...just making it before the cutoff!! whew...now i'm even MORE excited that she & i will have this little vacation together before the peanut arrives and then i'm even MORE excited that i'll get to be taking a grandbaby on his/her first disney cruise sometime in the near future!!!

One step closer - just booked our room at Port Orleans - Riverside. Room only discounts were released earlier today. New resort for us. We've only stayed at Caribbean Beach and Wilderness Lodge before.

Had great time in Disneyland. Nice to be home though. DH and I are counting the days until the cruise. Lots happening before, so we'll keep busy and hopefully the days won't drag too long. Kids still have a few more weeks of vacation and then it's back to school. The summer has flown by quite fast this year.

We are finally getting summer weather here although the last couple of days have been too hot for here. Suppose to go upto around 86 today. Last night when we went to bed it was 83 in the house. We don't have air conditioning - not really needed except for a few days of year (like right now).

What I need mostly are names, especially if you are participating in the gift exchange, Cabin numbers (I will those private for those who wish it) and whether or not you are participating in the FE.
