Order our Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween tickets yesterday for Oct 22. Is anyone going too?

We were not intending on going, however it sounds like it would be alot of fun. I do have a few questions though.

1. We are flying into Orlando and are not familiar with where anything is from there. Would it be a bad idea to take a taxi or something to the park and go to this? Is it a long ways away?

2. Do you know what time the celebration starts? We are not sure of our flight times because we booked through Disney.

3. Does anyone know how much the tickets are?

Yep. We ordered ours yesterday for Friday, October 22nd as that is the only day we can go either before or after our cruise. I was a little disappointed they weren't discounted for DVC, AP or even Advance purchased. But at least we are still going.

We'll be there on the 22nd too! I was a bit bummed about the lack of DVC discount on that day too, but we figured that it would all come out in the end since we have one less port visit than last time. So MNSSHP is our other excursion.

My two girls (Ellen-12 and Claire-9) are getting really excited for the cruise. They are beginning to meet the other kids, and plan about what they want to do on the boat. Their enthusiasm is infectious!

Our family has been on 2 previous Disney Wonder cruises, and we are giddy to be going for a whole week this time on the Magic.

My wife and I are looking for some helpful, money-saving suggestions. We haven't booked any excursions----it just seems crazy to think about spending more $$ on top of all we're spending for the cruise.

On our previous 3-day Wonder cruises, we mostly stayed on the ship and enjoyed the "free" food, and extra space with everyone being on shore.

But we can't imagine staying on the ship for the whole week! Any suggestions? Do previous cruisers have favorite (but inexpensive) St. Maarten's and St. Thomas activities?

If you really do not want to spend money you can just walk aound town. You can try to catch a taxi to the beach for the day. I can't advise on the beaches as I have not done this and some are better than others.

With kids your age I would seek out sites that have a historial value and use vacation to teach them. DCL has some good ones to pick from. Good luck I know you will find something that will work for the family and the pocketbook.

I like to plan ahead, it's easier on my sanity and on the wallet! And I'll admit to being a little OCD, but don't tell my DH. I also have a super packing list that's evolved over the last 5 years.

I'm with you on dropping a few pounds, would be nice not to have to wear the Spanx every night. Good luck!
