Hey to call (all say’s “Hey”),

It was a very busy weekend for our household. As I’ve posted in the past...our DD’s participate in a competition called - Odyssey of the Mind. This was the first year that our youngest joined a team in her age group. It was great to see Kristen (youngest) follow in her older sister’s footsteps. At regional competition, both teams (youngest in her age group and the oldest two in a high school troop) received a 2nd place award. This earned both teams the opportunity to compete at State finals in Tucson this past weekend. The outcome at State competition this past weekend is a; good news – bad news scenario. Both teams received a 4th place award for their efforts. Finishing 4th was the bad news for them as they do not earn an invite to again compete at world finals held at Michigan State University. Witnessing their hard work and great sport-person-ship is good news for us/them. 1st, 4th, 8th 12th...regardless of the score/award/place --- their hard work and dedication to themselves and the team they were on...makes Nan and I, some VERY PROUD parents.

Hope all had a great weekend - we did.

Hi, Kevin, when all is said and done, that is indeed great news. Congratulations on all counts.

Afternoon everyone!!! Just wanted to stop in and say hello!! We leave in a little over a week for our May trip to WDW. We haven't been since Xmas 2008 so we are a bit excited (I know 18 months doesn't seem that long but it is for us).

Hello everyone again,
I havent been on for a very looong time. I think it was at the very begining. Anyways I have the disney bug again and I am getting very excited for this up coming trip. Just booked are airfare a few days ago. It is amazing though how it all starts creeping up on you. It will be time to sail before we know it. Yipee!!:banana::banana:

Hi Neighbor! I guess we live on or near the South Shore as well. I can see the Hancock and Prudential buildings from my living room. I have been searching for flights as well. Do you mind if I ask where you are flying out of? We were thinking Manchester or Providence so we could fly Southwest but, of course, we like the non stop flights from Logan.

,
ATTENTION EVERYONE!!If you are flying in before October 23rd and need to make ADRs, as of today, Disney.go is booking reservation thru October 19th. Can you believe 6 months to go?! :yay:

Sand,
We are taking jet blue from Logan. We like jet blue, its very comfortable. When we went on our last cruise 18 mos ago we flew jet blue down and air tran back. I will never fly airtran again. They kept changing the times of the flight. We noticed the last one when we were on the ship and we were trying to pre-board and noticed it was and hour earlier. So never again. It was stress I didnt want. I have 2 small children 3 and 4y, so we only wanted the non-stop flights. Southwest does now fly out of boston but the prices werent cheap like they are in RI. We used to always fly southwest out of RI but I dont want to deal with the hassle of finding someone to drive us. We live South of Quincy now, but I grew up in Quncy. So you really are my Neighbor..lol

Cograts:woohoo: Kevin on your kids. Since I don't have any kids the only news I can tell all is that my dog Patches just became a Therapy Dog:rotfl:

Hope you all have a wonderful time. I am hoping to sneak in a couple days before our cruise. Would love to go to Epcot and MK.

I guess I had better get on the stick and book our flights. The return flights that are bugging me. The flight that we want comes and goes. Hopefully, we will be lucky enough to get a good deal.

WOW! You are only a few miles away! :goodvibes That is TOO COOL!
Not a fan of Air Tran either for those same reasons. I had a 4 hour delay when my youngest was about a year old. Keeping a toddler occupied with a baby trying to sleep for 4 extra hours :scared: Yep, I was thinking about RI. Parking there is so much cheaper than Logan but all in all, I don't want nor need any added stress! That is why we are going on a cruise right! :lmao: LOVE non-stop. Delta has the 2 flights a day - either 7am or after 6pm. Jet blue has several none stops on the Oct 30th and Dunkin Donuts coffee ;)

Our girls will be 3 and 4 when we sail. They will have a good time in the Oceaneers club together. Can't wait to meet you neighbor!

(Kevin, I know you answered this but can't remember) If my wonky brain is actually working, some one said we dock at 7am but can't dissembark until about 10am? Say 2 hours to get to MCO - which we have to be there 2 hours ahead of departure? So, book a return flight after 3pm to avoid stress in case of delays? Am I on the right track?

Thanks!!
Sandy

Hey Sandy,

I have a case of the 'wonky brain' --- every waking moment. We prob will dock much earlier than 0700. There is a (might be a) short delay as the ship clears immigration. The exit doors usually open at/before 0830. Am sure the earliest we can; get through the line, collect luggage and clear Immigration would be around 0900. Travel to airport is around an hour. So...if all works well...you can be at the airport just before/after 1000.

Has anyone had different experiences?

Congrats Kevin and Family:banana: We have very busy too with softball and flag football games. We are going to see Disney on Ice tonight. I found a great website just in case there is anyone interested in dropping a few pounds before the cruise. It is check out myfitnesspal.com and it is totally free! It is a great tool.

Angela, have you used this site? I am in desperate need to lose weight but just can't seem to get motivated. You would think going on a beautiful Caribbean Cruise would incentive enough, but NOooooo:confused3:rotfl::lmao::goodvibes!!! Maybe having a buddy in the same "boat";), would help. Let me know.

My husband is in the kitchen making thin mint milkshakes! He's killing my diet. I ate so healthy all day

WOW!!!! There are sooo many more pages to this thread, and sooo many more people!!!! Great!!! It's been a while since I've been on, and I was blown away at the list on page 1!!! Thanks Brenda for getting that together!!!! Just booked another great cruise for October of 2011. Anyone find any good deals for travel yet??

Anyone have any ideas of where to stay after the cruise for a couple of days to go to WDW? Think we want to stay off site to keep costs down. Someone told me Kissame?? I appreciate any ideas, we have 7 people to plan for-OOOHHHH WOOOWWWW!!
