I just made our hotel reservations for the Hyatt at the airport for $108.00. I just find staying at the Hyatt is so convenient. Although, this time we bypass the check-in counter and went straight to the bus when we were ready to leave. If you wait for the staff at the Hyatt, you could be on the 3rd or 4th bus out of there.

Now, to start some prelimenary flight costs and times.

What a great rate! I just looked, and the lowest I thought I saw was AAA for $159.

We'll probably get Happy Limo from MCO to PC again.

If anybody's interested: I've been working on our dining report from our visit late last month. Look for "greyhound" and "speed eating" in the title!

Ohhhhh...please post your photos. Our baby's room...for the three DD's also was 'Classic Pooh'. We had such a hard time finding 'stuff' in the style created by Milne/Shepard - sixteen years ago. wow...sixteen years ago (give me a minute).

Don't laugh at me...I even took a color illustration/lithograph into Home Depot...so they could match paint for us...we called it...'classic pooh brown'. We used that color below the chair rail. This brings back great memories.

Enjoy - grub'n around the world. I gotta ask...on a 'food trippe'...from another of my favorite 'DIS writers'...would..uh...YOU...be the special guest?

It's funny, because we were also looking for pooh colors like that! It was "is this Pooh yellow?" "Is this grass green, or tree green?" Add to this the fact that my husband is color blind, and you will be amazed that it actually came out the way it did. Don't ask me how a color blind man can be such a good painter. It's one of the mysteries of our marriage.

And as far as I know, I'm only a "special guest" in one food trippie - that would be oybolshoi's from a year ago. We met up at F&W and had dinner, then dessert around the world. It was a blast.

Erica, loved your TR! I hope all is going well with baby! Have fun at the "Food & more Food Festival". We are going next year after the cruise along with the MNSSHP. I had these saved. I am sorry I don't remember who the DISigner was. I save their names now. DH is a major GEEK! I told him if he starts speaking binary, I am drawing the line!

Just in case you can't read it, looks blury to me on screen. The Professor Duck (name?) and the satelites says: Warning! Prenatal Disney Absorption in Progress!!

Haha, I love it! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: 365 UNTIL WE GET OUR CRUISE ON!! :yay:

Our FE is in the works and I have already started hunting for gifts. Kevin, great advice on FE gifts! :thumbsup2

Evad, I didn't know you were on this cruise. I LOVE your pics!! Really enjoy them on the pics thread. Thanks for sharing. DH also has a D80 and is still learning all settings, white balance, etc.

I don't have to worry about the FE. We are going to use the one from our last cruise together. But we have started looking for gifts.

Thank you so much, glad you like them!! I hope to come back with a few keepers from our cruise as well. But first up is WDW in 3 weeks. Can't wait for that. I just picked up our package from the TA yesterday. :woohoo:

Tell your hubby good luck with the D80, it just takes practice. What lenses does he have?

Evad/Dave...I think I've seen some of your work. I'd love to see some more. If you have an album on-line or can direct me to a posting...sure would appreciate you sharing.

Me...I love photography -- it's such a great release. You'll find me before/at sunrise on the upper decks...filling a memory card.

Hope you all take some time to read Erica's TR;s....one word - FANTASTIC!! Warning...set aside some time...after starting...you won't want to stop.

Hope all are enjoying a great weekend.

Nan and I have been busy - and frankly...we are just exhausted. Our 30th High School reunion was this weekend. Many-many wonderful events. It was great to get together with good friends we've kept in touch with...& see friends we've missed for quite some time.

Hi All!

Erica - My Mom is color blind - red, green. Driving with her is an adventure to say the least! :faint: I have to say, her closet has become better coordinated. :cool2:

Kevin - you may also find me sunrise/set taking pics. Costco has a good deal on a Nikon D5000 I will be saving my pennies for. Ok, LOTS of pennies! It is a great hobbie and what a great way to preserve time. :thumbsup2 Erica's TR was great. I didn't want to stop reading. I hope to get to the other ones. Because this is our first cruise, I have learned alot from reading others TRs. I hope you had a great time at your reunion!!

Dave - I asked what lens DH had and he started rambling all these numbers and letters at me. Sorry, my brain is still wonky (mommy brain) but I think he said 18-200VR Nikor and 28-105 ... starts with an M plus a digital lense. We are going in Dec to WDW, he will got lots of practice then. Even the Photopass photographers take our pics with his camera. They have D60s. There is a girl at our local camera shop that writes the photography articles for allears.net. Every chance he gets, he is in there asking her questions. He has been looking into continuing adult eduaction classes in DSLR but hasn't had the time due to his work schedule. I got him for Father's Day a tour with PhotoWalks.com, of cours it poured cats and dogs. So, hopefully he will take it again soon. 3 weeks will be here before you know it. Have a magical vacation!! pixiedust:

I hope all is well with everyone and you all have a great Halloween!!

An online album is the one thing I don't have. I really need to organize my stuff and do one up. I do post a lot here and on the photography board as well.

Here's a link to my last series I posted the photography board.

Also for you Nikon users out there you can visit this thread as well.

I would love to get together once on board and have a photo shoot. Name the time and place. :thumbsup2

The 18-200 is a nice lens. A lot people use that as their walk around lens. If I didn't have the 2 that I have it is probably one I would have picked up. My 18-70 is my workhorse, I use it almost all the time. I put on the 70-300 when I need the extra reach..

Well it sounds like we will have a lot of photographers going on this cruise. Can't wait to meet up with you all and take some pics.

Hi All! I very excited to present...drum roll please...A cruise DISign the amazing Natalie (Donatalie) did for us! Tah Dah!!:yay::banana:

Hi, Sandy. I was wondering if this could be made bigger? I am trying to make it my screen saver, but it comes out distorted. Of course, it could just be me not knowing how to properly re-size it.

Thanks,
Brenda.

Hi Brenda! Here is the link to Natalie's (donatalie) photobucket:

Waive your cursor over the top left corner of the graphic until you see "zoom" apprear, then move your cursor over the down arrow so it brings down a menu, click on "high res image". Then waive your cursor again over the left corner. Go from zoom across to download, bring down the menu, click on "high res image" to your folder. This should help with resolution. Let me know. :goodvibes

WOW!!! I spent some time with the 'early morning post'...again...WOW!! What a peaceful setting...so beautiful...I love how you captured it...and allowed us to enjoy it --- thank you.

I would love to get together once on board and have a photo shoot. Name the time and place. :thumbsup2

I...am...so....IN!!! I would love to be included. Hopefully....you will allow a 'Canon shooter' into your group. Frankly...I'm 'in my element' with my 35mm - A1. I still pull that out - now and then...just can't part with my 'ole faithful'. The feel...just can't be replaced with digital SLR's - IMHO. I know...I could put my Canon; A1 body, lenses, backpack and both flashes on ebay....and use that money to trade up to a very nice digital SLR. I just can't do it (the word - 'loser' should written on my forehead). It's amazing how the older gear has held it's value - sometimes selling for more then the original purchase price of twenty years ago. Still...I just can't bring myself to sell it.
Digitally - I shoot a Canon S3 IS --- and love it. We liked it soooo much...we bought Nan a Canon IS model. Both have been great for family and activities with the girls.

I'll have my Canon Digital Rebel XTi with me, so count me into the photo shoot!!!

Has anyone started doing homework on excursions?? Now that we are under a year! I probably won't have time to check it out until after the holidays but if anyone has experience/recommendations I would love to hear them. d'Isgny have you shared your yahoo group with all our newcomers? It is pretty cool. I think you were the one who set it up right?

Thanks so much Kevin, glad you liked the shots.

All my Disney shots were taken with my Fuji S700 pns. I didn't have my dslr when I went our trip last year. So as you can I don't discriminate on camera brands As a Canon shooter you might be interested in this thread.

If at all interested you can check this thread out as well. Make sure to scroll all the way down.

JohnO consider yourself counted in. It should be fun!! :thumbsup2

Hey to all...(all says Hey)....

Sorry for my delay in posting...works been a pain - inventory...very high work load...yada-yada-yada...i'm prob sing'n to the choir. it's funny...we are in a time of year...it's susposed to slow down...

d'Isgny have you shared your yahoo group with all our newcomers? It is pretty cool. I think you were the one who set it up right?

thank you very much for your positive comments on the Yahoo Groups web site. this is an awesome tool (funny thing in our household --- when ever I say tool [drill...computer software...new phone...computer...etc] my bride calls em 'toys').
It was created to be an extension to The DIS. Yahoo offers opportunities to post; word documents, excel spreadsheets, power point, photos, create/update/participate in databases - etc...information is very easy to post and locate - later. We continue to; meet, grow and discuss topics on this forum (the DIS) and save information that will be helpful for all to review -and very easily to locate...in our Yahoo Groups site.

One of the many ways this is a WONDERFUL toy (see...my bride has me doing it). Let's say...we have x-number that decide to participate in FE (Fish Extender gift Exchange). All just - register on Yahoo...input/update/cancel their information in the FE Database. Then, on our agreed 'closing date'....I can pop into the data base...using the conversion tool...and all of our FE info can be transferred into Excel...effortlessly - takes 5 minutes. It'll take longer to make extra copies...then move the informaiton from our site to excel. and...Yes...I'll gladly volunteer to do this.

Another example...this is a closed site...the only way to 'get in'...is to get an invite from one of the Moderators (currently I am one -- as we grow...I would gladly accept assistance if another wants to help - I do have some travel for work that will pull me away from a computer [instert a YEAH - here]). I feel much more comfortable placing our photos and other information on a closed site (no offfence - DIS).

I could go....on and on...with the potential this offers. However...the way this is successful...is if people participate and share information. It's kinda like...you get out of it...what you put in. OK...i'll drop off me soap box.

back to the original post...welcome to the new persons....any that would like access to our site....please send me an e-mail - All I need is - the e-mail address you want this sent to - click the below link (or - paste copy both e-mail addresses into a new message)...and send me your request.

kevin.smith@appl.ge.com;d_Isigny@msn.com

If any...have questions...on signing up - posting - creating a new data base ---- I'm happy to assist. This is the third Dis group I've participated on - plus I set up two sites for two other cruises we went on. I'm no expert...but will be patient and assist in any way I can. It's my hopes...that once all get in...and start sharing...this will be a fantastic resource.

Oh....the below photo...is our home page. If you see the 'blue box' on the left - that's the links to get to; files, photos, databases...etc.

Just keep reading. Post any and all questions you may have about the cruise or DIS. Practice is all it takes. Once you become more familar it will not seem so overwhelming.

To quote a post hit the quote button at the bottom of the post, If you want to quote more than one post in your post hit the( ") marks at the bottom each post and when you are ready to add your post to them hit the Post button.

It will get better in no time only took me a few day. However Istill learn new features from time to time.

Welcome to the DIS and our cruise meet thread! Lois
