Just a drive-by bumpity bump to stay off of page 3! :goodvibes

Everybody ready for the holiday's??:)

Stoping by to say hi to all we have been busy at work. I have to wrap gifts this weekend and get in the mail for my family in calif.

I was hopeing the news from Disney on Dec 10th would be something I could use no luck. Cady is gong to be 13 ib Feb so she too old for the promo. I also think three days is too short. They should of done something much better then that.

Hey, Brenda, we haven't abandoned ship just yet. :lmao: The snow birds are all heading back to Florida, but they bring the awfulest bugs with them!!! My oldest daughter has sneezing and slight malaise, but my youngest has been popping 102-103 fevers and massive congestion and non stop coughing. My DH has it, too, but no fevers so far. Ugh. And I still haven't gotten around to Christmas cards, and my baking has been minimal. :sad1: But, I'll be back on the boards eventually. I think it's just the business of the season, and I keep trying to unload stuff so it's not so busy. I only have our tree up and haven't touched the outside of the house. :rotfl2:

Hi, Cindi. I hope everyone is doing better this week. Isn't Christmas time the worse time to be sick or to have sick love ones?

I am trying to get my cards out, too. And what is this about baking? Never heard of it :lmao: . I have been doing too much jewelry making to think about baking.

We have our tree up and I have decorated the inside a bit, but we don't do the outside, so we are done with that chore.

Now it is time to send off some gifts.

I know what you mean, Nancy. I had a time finding us today. And I won't be ready for the holidays until New Year's.:rotfl2:

I think that they should have done something that more people could have taken advantage of. It must be going very slow with bookings, So they are trying to entice folks with young children into taking them out of school to go on a cruise. I don't think that it is going over too well, but we will see.

Brenda, I hope that you get all of your gifts off. That is something that I really must do before Friday or else I can forget it. It won't get done.

Have fun, Everyone.

hi guys. just popping in to wish everyone a happy holiday season from mike and robin.(underdog and tart annihilator)

I know it's a little early but does anyone have any excursions in mind yet? This will be our third Eastern and I'm hoping to get some good ideas when we do our 2nd one this October. On our first Eastern, which was also our first cruise, we signed up for the Island Drive and Explorer Cruise in St Maarten which we enjoyed. Free RUM PUNCH!!! :goodvibes In St Thomas we just jumped on one of those Island Tours that come a dime a dozen. We enjoyed that also.

I would love to see the planes coming in at Maho Beach in St Maarten but I guess the beach has been washed away during one of those nasty Caribbean storms.

AWESOME!!!!!

Hi, Nancy, I was wondering about the same thing. This will be our first time,so I have no clue. My husband will probably want to SCUBA dive, but that is as far as we have gone so far. I will be interested to hear what others have to say about excursions.

Nancy,

The B.O.B. will be our 3rd time to the Eastern. We are looking at doing a catamaran to an island Oct '09 (DS should be old enough now) and then Trunk Bay on St. John. After we do those two, we'll see what we liked and book from there for 2010. DS will be 10, so there are other excursions available to him.

The planes would be cool (need to find the video of the 747 taking off from St. Maarten), but like you said, the beach is now gone. You could stand on the road I guess. There is a beach near by, but it isn't right under the flight path.

If anyone is looking for just going to the beach, the one right in the bay we dock in, in St. Maarten is nice. On St. Thomas, it is easy to get to Meghan's Bay which is really nice. Both are cheap beach get aways.

I think it's the one Chuck and I walked to in 05'. :scared1: There are water taxis though, right?

Is this the beach where you refused to pay for the beach chairs? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (Great story there...absolutely hilarious!!) :rotfl2:

I just googled Trunk Bay! Looks really great especially since the kids do enjoy snorkeling. I am wondering on our intinerary it says St Thomas/St John so which is it? How do you get to Trunk Bay? Does DCL have an excursion? Are there other excursions companies you can book this with for cheaper???
Thanks

We will dock (or tender) in St. Thomas. St. John is about a 45 minute ferry ride from the bay we dock in.

DCL does have a few excursions to St. John, one specifically to Trunk Bay. We did the St. John Island Tour in 2007. The whole time I wished I was on the beach at Trunk Bay.

You can take a ferry from St. Thomas to St. John (they run throughout the day), but with DCL, if they don't get back in time, they will hold the ship (there was an excursion in Acapulco when we were on the Repo in August that didn't get back until 40 minutes after the ship was suppose to leave).

I have some great pictures of Trunk Bay (from up in the hills) as well as a couple other beaches on St. John. I'll try to get them posted.

And you know exactly which picture I want to see Jeff.:thumbsup2

This is Nancy's favorite of the ones we took. It is not Trunk Bay, however, but still on St. John.

I have some from St. Thomas and St. Maarten if anyone is interested.
