10/23/11 - Disney Dream

It was both big and crowded. It has two wings that are fairly big but the chairs filled up quicky with folks wanting to watch the 'bergs and stay warm. Unfortunately, they tended to stay put so turn was seldom unless something was going on and then we weren't there either .. :)

In between the two wings is a new bar and a counter with stools you can sit at and look straight out over the adult pool (again probably better views in warmer weather, like Hawaii, :rolleyes1) but it was fun watching the waves toss the pool water around while we took the outside passage on the way up. And the folks who thought that it was still spa weather (50 degrees) and steam coming up so thick you almost couldn't see them . :)

Overall, I like the now Outlook Cafe.

MUcho Thanks for your taking the time and the comments

I'm really disapointed there's nothing Halloweeny on the ship. I bought a Belle costume before I realized we wouldn't be allowed to wear costumes into the park (even ON Halloween) and now I don't have anywhere to wear it :-(

Now I hate to point out the obvious but, Wear it on the ship anyways.. Do it Pirate night. You are on One of maybe 3 ships in the world that you could get away with this with no negative comments and maybe even a few envious looks.

And if anyone asks just roll your eyes and say "Oh the darn kids would not dress up unless I did also.. the kids are driving me nuts"

Now the big worry is some little kid running up to jump in your lap for a picture.. But that is the price of fame and beauty..

Are you going to MNSSHP? You can wear it there.:goodvibes

For those going to MNSSHP, are you going all out on costumes? I'm not sure if DH and I will be getting dressed up but we definitely want the kiddies too.

Also, what about Pirate night on the ship...are any of you getting all dressed up for that one? I'm thinking of keeping it simple...black shirts, bandana, eye patches, etc...but I don't want to be underdressed:rotfl2:

What are you guys doing?
We are going to MNSSHP in costume (sorta). Instead of full blown costumes we are all wearing costume type tshirts with embellishments. It's really hard to find the space to bring full costumes.
For pirate night we will be wearing pirate shirts and a few acessories. :woohoo:

Wear the Belle dress! On the ship and to MNSSHP. I have a Cinderella dress hanging in my closet but no room in the suitcase for the dress and slip. I am going to settle for being "goth Cinderella) for MNSSHP. :rotfl:

We are going all out for pirate night. I've been sewing us all matcing Mickey pirate costumes. They are turning out super cute. We're also doing MNSSHP on the debark day, and we're hopefully going as Ghostbusters. Problem is, I've only finished 2 of 5 Ghostbuster costumes and 3 pirate costumes (for our party of 5). Time went to quickly for me. And now 2 weeks lwft to sew. So, if I can't sew Ghostbusters costumes in time, I guess we'll be pirates at MNSSHP. I wish they did the pirates league on the ship. I would totally shell out the money for that. I have us pirates league reservations on debark day, but that was assuming we'd debark and head straight to the Mk. Now, i'm not so sure we're doing that. We've got our party tickets, but would have to buy 5 Mk day tickets as well, plus the $150 for pirates league. Talk about an expensive day. So, I'm not sure if we'll just have a resort swimming day before the party or a full MK day as pirates. Anyway ... on the cruise, we'll be head to toe matching Mickey pirates!

You know there has been some talk on here of some pretty cool costumes being made.. maybe a few photos could be posted .. May be the only chance to see these????

I looked for pirate stuff last year, but didn't find anything I liked or was still too expensive, so we will not be dressed as pirates but I'm excited to see the fireworks.

I'd love to share pictures of my pirate sets. But, I still have 2 more to finish. With any luck, I'll finish them by Sunday. I've been sewing us all kinds of matching sets for this cruise. I even made Aquaduck rashguards for my boys to wear. i'm having way too much fun!

Nope. We are all coming to YOUR stateroom in costume for those free Mickey bars you'll be handing out to all the rif raf. :rotfl2:

I think that is an unfair way of looking at this.. At 3:00 You will be honored guests invited to Sup and Dine with all the privileges that the room can extend .. only by 3:15 does the name calling start..

Hi everyone, it has been awhile since I posted to this thread and thought with the cruise just over 2 weeks away :woohoo: I would stop back in and say hi :wave2:
My DD 17 is wondering if there are any other teens on this cruise that would like to start getting to know each other before the cruise. If anyone has a teenager that would like to start "chatting" with my DD before the cruise send me a PM and we can get our kids talking.

:thumbsup2

I think the ship passes by at 5pm. If you drive straight there, you should be able to see it. I'll save ya a spot. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

I think Fishlips or Grills would be best, and probably leaning towards Fishlips because their upstairs, outside area is all bar. It's an open area, big enough for all of us. There are several tables and a few bar stools. People could join for just a drink if they want and then stay for dinner if they want as well. :yay:

Fishlips sounds good to me. We will try to be there around 4ish. I am getting so excited.:cool1:

So how many b2b cruises do we have on this cruise

This is our 1st leg of our b2b

We're B2B also and this is our 1st leg also.

Two stops in CC is going to be great, plus we'll treat the most of one and all of the Nassau days as sea days as well as the day we "turn", so it there will be a lot of time exploring the ship. :cool1:

Sorry Cheryl.......I am leaving mine at home!!!!!:cool1::cool1: Actually, you will be seeing me tearing up alot knowing how much they would love the new ship......that is why I am rebooking onboard!!!!!!
I may have to take Paige to get her pics with all the characters so I feel like a mom!
Alex has actually been very understanding about this cruise......Julia on the other hand is so jealous! Harrison is too busy to even notice I have been talking about going.

Woo hoo! FE gifts are finished!! Too bad they fill a whole suitcase.

We have pirate outfits for Pirate night. The kids are going all out. DH & I are going half way with T-shirts, accessories, and khaki capris for me, DH has shorts (GASP!!) but the shorts are part of his "costume." ;)

My youngest is wearing her princess dress and crown for semi-formal night.

We are also going to MNSSHP the day we disembark. It has been rumored you can enter the park early at 4 pm with just the MNSSHP tickets. (Ewerstruly: Maybe this will help with the Pirates League?) The kids chose this year to pick non-disney costumes so we will be escorting Cleopatra and a Peacock Princess. DH & I will have on Disney Halloween shirts.

I am pulling out the suitcases this weekend! We may be packing more than I thought...
