10/23/11 - Disney Dream

Well keep this between you and me, and tell no other, But I am seriously thinking of waiting for her to get airborne and then let rip a dancing banana message that will make one hungry for banana splits for a month of Sundays.. But keep this on the QT Ssshhhh
Y'all are mean! NO Mickey bars for any of you! :dance3:

This has nothing to do with your words I just quoted. I just have a confession to make. I am soooo excited to meet you! I have cherished your designs for years and I'm thrilled I can say 'thank you' in person!!! And maybe put a little extra in your FE for all your help through the years! ;);)
That's so sweet of you Christina. Glad you like my designs. I'm up for the 3:30 meet also. My last cruise was only 13 cabins...this time 34.:woohoo: I sure hope someone has a nice wide angle lens so we can get a great group shot.:cool1:

Oh my gosh ... really? 18 more days? I had over a year to prepare. Now, I'm frantically sewing pirate night costumes LOL! I've finished 3 out of 5. And, I still haven't stuck together fish extender gifts. A sewing group I belong to made me a fish extender, but I don't have it yet either. Hopefully it will get here soon. My goodness! I better get busy!

I am dedicating this post to Christina...
Thank you for keeping the FE list!!!:flower3: The Excel doc is great! I printed mine out...
Now I'm ready to cruise :woohoo: (well need to pack first)

:lovestruc NP

I have sent out all requests so if you didn't get an email from me, send me another PM. :goodvibes

Good afternoon folks

Started getting my cloth's together

If anyone needs a taxi the morning we board Iheard about coco beach taxi the fare is pay what you want.

I do have a question and sorry if it's been answered but I'm getting conflicting info I heard no one is allowed into the port before 11am? but on the port web page it says you can get there 30 minutes before your scheduled boarding time ours is 11 am so can we get there at 10:30??

Well I don't know about you guys, but it is sounding like we might be needing to plan a pre-cruise meet to watch the Magic sail away for all of us that are gonna be around. :sail:

Count me and Twinsfan in for any pre-cruise meeting only been to rusty's which was good but I think the other two have better viewing(larger) area's.

so there will 2 of us maybe 4 if our friends from west palm beach drive up

From looking at pictures and web cams rusty's does have out door seating but fishlips looks like it has that large upstairs deck? grills looked more enclosed but I can't say for certain never been there

1st I want to state that I have been big time researching this, reading trip reports, asking all I could.

Here is what I have found. The Port will open at 11:00 at the latest. It has opened a little early at time by 15 to 25 mins. but you can not count on that. If you arrive before the port opens, You will have to drive around till they open.

That will not be bad in your own car, but may be costly in a taxi...

I do think that Boarding time is the time they start letting you on the ship, not the port arrival time that Disney assigned you.

Did read one story about people getting to the port 20 mins early, they were told to come back after 11:00 They came back 5 mins later and were allowed in.. So there does not seem to be an Iron clad 11:00 time.

take care

Thanks for the info guess I'll just get a cab to leave the hotel about 10 to hopefully that will be safe

Pretty sure we are in.....there are 2 of us. :cool1:

:thumbsup2

I just checked our flight times. Our plane lands at MCO at 3pm. By the time we get our bags, rental car and drive to the port. I think we are gonna miss the Magic sailing. :sad2:
We really wanted to see this <bummed>

I think the ship passes by at 5pm. If you drive straight there, you should be able to see it. I'll save ya a spot. :goodvibes

I think Fishlips or Grills would be best, and probably leaning towards Fishlips because their upstairs, outside area is all bar. It's an open area, big enough for all of us. There are several tables and a few bar stools. People could join for just a drink if they want and then stay for dinner if they want as well. :yay:

We will try our best to make the pre-cruise meet for drinks/appetizers We may not make it if we run into traffic. I think we will go to Rustys or the Sunrise Diner for dinner though. Those two places have discounts and we will be feeding 5 hungry people.

We will be there for the 3:30 meet....have no idea when we will get to the port...transfering from Pop Century on Disney Cruise Line bus. Getting so close now, I can hardly stand the excitement...finished all our fe gifts yesterday, only thing left to do is pack and get on the plane....oh ya I had a thought this morning just out of the blue that I had better start thinking about the next trip:dance3: Can't wait to meet EVERYONE

We should be able to be at what ever place we decide for the pre-cruise we land in orlando at noon hope to be at our hotel by 2ish??

Our port arrival time is also 11 am. We have a town car picking us up at Coronado Springs at 10, so I'm guessing we should be arriving around 11 or shortly after that.:thumbsup2 I finished all my FE gifts and have them packed in a box and ready to send to the port. My suitcases are still upstairs and partially packed. Not excited at all, are we...:lmao:We're going to book our next cruise on this one...just have to decide Western Caribbean or Alaska? I think I'm leaning more to the Fantasy though.:woohoo:We'll be at the World in less than 2 weeks, with MNSSHP and F&W on the menu and can you believe that I'm still waiting for our DME packet to arrive???Called Disney twice and then someone gave me the number to DME. Looks like they didn't even have us down. :sad2:Oh well...the countdown continues. Can't wait to meet you all.:goodvibes

We are at the Radisson pretty close I asked Steve at coco beach taxi and he said about 10 should be fine plenty of people will be heading that way to get in and there will be a line he said??

Don't be alarmed, but I might be following you. :lmao: We are staying at the Radisson too! But we have a rental car.

We land at 1:30 and plan on driving straight to our meeting place. MAYBE stop by the public beach right down the road to show my aunt the ocean for the first time :goodvibes
