Hey everyone ....new to this thread but no stranger to DCL Just PM'd our info for the FE today so hopefully we make the cut! My name is Sarah and I'll be sailing with my parents Steve and MaryJane and we are from RI. This will be our first time sailing on the Dream! She is a beautiful ship we sailed by her as we repositioned the Wonder to LA this past Jan, so we are pretty excited to explore! Definetly a new experience for us though, as we are used to sailing for longer periods...4 days will fly by! Hope everyone is having a great summer, were in the middle of Irene up here right now, but we will get thru it and then onto cruise planning! Looking forward to meeting everyone soon

So........reading about Halloween events & I have a question. We were on a 7 night cruise that included Halloween 4 years ago & had a great time dressing up for Halloween. If they are in fact doing costume events on this or our 3 night after, I may have to reconsider & figure out a Halloween costume to participate. Does anyone know if this is happening for sure?

I can't say for certain, but we were on this exact same cruise datewise in 2009 and we did get to go trick or treating on the ship and also the characters were dressed up in their Halloween costumes . I want to say it was on the Nassau day. We did receive a letter about it before the cruise, but I can't remember how soon before the cruise DCL sent it out.

I'm so excited because when I logged in to double check my cabin for the FE submission, I clicked over to the excursions tab, you know, to check just check on the cabanas. And what did I find? AN OPENING!!! Cabana 19, here we come!!

I agree with everyone also. It is so kind of you to take over the FE. I'm sure it's a lot of work and I admit I kind of panicked a little when I heard Pat had to give it up. Thank you. Can't wait to get the final list and start to work. We're getting so close.

Yep, I received it. It was my first one and wasnt sure what it was at first but I got it!

So what type of numbers did we end up with for our FE? My kids had to wait until today to finish our orders from Oriental Trader and cannot wait to put the bags together.

I'm curious too. I have enough planned for 30 some odd cabins (cabin and individual) but can't wait to get started.

How does the group feel about leaving it as is? Does anyone need/want us to split it in 2 groups?

I have partial prep work done for 30 cabins, so adding 5 more is no big deal. I will need to figure out the kids though since I have things split by boy/girl and different age groups.

What everyone decides is fine with us. Just need some time to prepare.
