10/23/11 - Disney Dream

Awwww, man! It still shows up as sold out for me. Not meant to be, I suppose. I bought a little black dress for this date night, too. We'll be boarding too late, I fear, to hope for a walk up/wait list. Coming from DCL transport/Disney resort to port. Their website has changed and it says my browser is not supported. Perhaps I'm having issues seeing availability on my end. I tried to call DCL to reserve it, but they aren't open. Thanks. Tam

Did you sign off the Disney web sight last night???? I know if you go past the midnight time limit you need to sign back on to get access to the some new updates

Just wanting to understand here, We booked 2 cruises on the last disney cruise. A 4 day & 3 day Both back to back. What is the room credit for each cruise???? and if you do not use up one before the second cruise, is it Gone????

From what I understand is that you have to use your OBC for the 1st leg on that cruise BUT you can get a gift card with the remaining amount and you can use that on the next cruise...but I could be wrong.

Good morning:)

We will be flying in a week!

So far today looks like a nice day at Port Canaveral:)

My house guest has left, so I can finally start packing!

One week from today, we'll be on a plane on our way to Florida!:cool1: Our plan after landing at Orlando Sanford & picking up our rental car is to head to DTD for lunch & some shopping. Then we'll head towards Port Canaveral for the meet at Fishlips. Have to pick up some water, Diet Mtn Dew & maybe a bottle of bourbon to carry on (I think that is still ok) & then we are spending the night at Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach.

I know this is last minute, but it's our first Disney Cruise, Me the wife, DS 17, DD15, DD 10 and DS 6. Is it too late to get in on the FE? Is there such a thing as a RAK FE if the list is closed but the family wants to play along?

Thanks for any help. 8 days still seems like forever...

Weather forecast for next weekend in Cocoa Beach is forecasted to be a high of 80 and a low of 69. BEAUTIFUL!!!

There's an 8:00 pm slot for Palo Dinner on Monday, October 24 (Nassau Day):goodvibes

In other news, we'll be flying in a week:cool1:
:dance3::cool1:

T-shirts are made, FE gifts are done, clothes are almost packed, and now the final countdown has begun.

And what's even more cool, remember when I said that my kids had outgrown all of their summer clothes? Well, after scouring through 10 different stores, I managed to find 4 pairs of shorts each for my kiddies:cool1::dance3:

So now they won't be restricted to pants during the day and won't complain that "they're legs are too hot":woohoo::cheer2:

Well guess what everyone? I got Disney mail yesterday and yes....finally...my DME packet.:yay:I mailed my FE gifts to the port, I've verified reservations, (transportation mostly), I ordered my cruise amenities and paid my gratuites in advance.:woohoo:Now all I have to do and sit back relax and wait...3 more days.:cool1:

I'm so happy you finally got your DME stuff...one less thing to worry about :yay: Now...I need to get busy packing. :thumbsup2

Welcome to our cruise group!!

Yes, its too late for the FE exchange but I know I have an extra gift. Maybe others will as well :confused3 I can put you down as RAK just in case anyone has extras but no guarantees of course. Just be prepared to return the favors just in case. PM me your info--names, ages and stateroom numbers.

We'll have extra FE gifts as well. Just send your info to mommyof3boys (I think that's right) so she can add it to the list so I'll know where to drop off the gifts when we do our rounds:goodvibes

Hey, thanks anyway. I'm not sure why, but it always showed up as sold out for me. I was able to cancel one of my own excursion reservations though, with no problem. So, not sure why it wouldn't let me book Palo. This way, I don't get date night, but I do get to eat with my kids, which will be fabulous too. So, no biggie. Hopefully this will not be our last cruise. I plan to rebook when onboard, but we likely won't be able to do this again until 2014. I'm still sewing pirate night costumes and Halloween costumes for the MnSShP.

Welcome aboard! :welcome: We have an extra gift and would be happy to exchange FE gifts with your family.

Just a reminder and an Invite to all the New People

Being excided about all the new spots on the Dreams we would like to extend an offer here..

Just by Blind luck and the vicissitudes of living life. When we booked our room last year, It comes with a special Veranda.. (Now upgraded from when we booked it )

Would like to make an open invitation to who ever wants to view this veranda.

Stateroom 5650

We had done such things on other ships and the best time to do it is before the life boat drill and before the luggage is delivered and in general before the kids have sullied the room.. The room will still have the fresh unused room Smell..

So Drop by between 3:00 and 3:15 on embarking day 10/23 Sunday.. Check out the Veranda.. Mickey Bars can be delivered to all who wants.. We will buy.. OK OK maybe tip...

Then a few others have kindly offered to show their verandas so we will follow to view theirs.

Take Care

God's speed and Pixie dust :wizard: to all of you and your families in your travels over the next week :goodvibes :goodvibes

Mike

Also I would like to see if I could meet at Fishlips to see the Magic go by.. I do not think I can stay long.. I will have My bride and Kids in Universal Studios and will duck out for this event.. :woohoo:

But have always wanted to see the magic sail by..

And this will be fun much better then missing the boat and watching it sail away :scared1:

wow when did this start, I thought it was the same across the board..???

I thought they changed that a couple years ago. Can't remember if we had the higher amount on the 2009 cruise or not.

The nice thing about doing B2B is that we'll actually get more for the week than if we did a 7 night cruise ($150 + $150 = $300 vs. $250).

We'll be Platinum before we sail next October, so we'll get slightly more $ (and able to book Palo/excursions further out). :woohoo:

I know it was last moment but we just found out about these FE's we've had the cruise book forever and thought we had an idea of all the fun things...Still learning, this is our first Disney Cruise and second trip ever to DW. Thank you all who volunteered my kids were afraid we were too late for anything, I had passed our info along to mommyofthreeboys and wait to find out what I need to do and get busy this weekend on those FE gifts. Thanks all..
