We have one in San Antonio. It is great. Not in a busy location. Walt and I go there every once in awhile to get my three cheese sandwich. Love it. It has everything the one in Downtown Disney has but just not the crowd. LOL

I'm guessing this one will be pretty busy based on the location. And now that the Magic will be doing some sailing out of NYC, it will be a great place to get a small dose of Disney before or after the cruise!

And in San Antonio they deliver too! :lovestruc The closest one to Wisconsin is an airport in Detroit. Guess I'll wait till October. :sad1:

WOW....over 43000 hits on this thread with only 2200 posts. I smell some serious lurking going on. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

You'll be needing to pick a smoothie flavor - chocolate, strawberry or mango, one per family member. Mike will explain, since I believe he is buying the 1st round. Right Mike?:rolleyes1

Also, I would love to do some stargazing - it would be nice to know what I'm looking at. Maybe we can organize a stargazing meet one night, when theres no deck party?

So, what's with the smoothies? Usually, Chocolate is my favorite flavor, but since I'm a nut for the tropics and we're going to be in the Caribbean, I'd have to go with Mango on this one!

I'd love to join anyone who is up for stargazing. I'd be happy to point out and discuss anything in the sky that I know. I have a nifty little green laser pointer that I use for the sidewalk astronomy/public outreach that our group does. However, I don't know if those are allowed on board. I'll probably bring a pair of my binoculars to get a closer at the cosmos. Unfortunately, cruises are too rocky for telescopes, otherwise I'd bring mine. Oh well, the travel case for my scope would take up too much room in those tiny cabins anyway. It would have to sleep in the bed while I found cozy spot out in the hall! Does anyone else here ever do any stargazing/astronomy on cruises? Any tips for a better nighttime experience on board (astronomically-speaking, that is)?

If you can't pm yet, just let us know and we'll tell Parlay to add your info.

Nope, I'm still too new for PM. If you'd be so kind my info is as follows:

RobbW: Robb, DW Amy (DISname: famy27), and DD Maddie (5) from Illinois

CHOCOLATE?? who are you again??:rotfl::lmao: i'm just kidding!:rotfl2:

Seriously.. the smoothie thing started a few cruises ago when (since my wife and i dont drink alcohol) they always had martini tasting and wine tasting on the ship, we decided to have our own strawberry smoothie meet. All was well till that well known instigator Rick:angel: turned my wife on to a "different smoothie" Chocolate..and she's been hooked ever since.

So we kind of made game out of it where you have to choose a flavor. :rolleyes1Mango snuck its way into the mix later on.

its all in good fun. (at least i hope so)
theres a rumor going around that i have agreed to pay for some of these smoothies. pay no attention to that rumor.popcorn::
I'm retired and any smoothies will have to be paid for by my sugar momma Robin.:cutie:;);)

Thanks for being so welcoming everyone! Is there anything special we should be aware of with joining this group or the upcoming Parley cruise?

I finally have begun sorting through our pictures from last weekend... wow. I think I can finished my summary tomorrow, but in the mean time, here are some photos of our cabin...

http://home.earthlink.net/~runskyhy/pics/201103_cabin01.pdf

The 3-night cruise was great. We didn't feel it was any more crowded than the other cruises, but I don't think we hit popular activities at peak times either. Rich liked the buffet on this ship better than the 'classic' ships. Otherwise, we liked the rest of it as much as we do the Wonder.

I e-mailed the navigators to the wdwinfo.com website, so hopefully, they upload them soon.

Have not be lurking since I was waiting on the new places. Wanted Hawaii but they are too short on port time. Now going on Carnival spirit.

Just wondering who is all going to be on the FE list.

My kids really enjoyed coming back to the room to see what surprises were outside the door.

I think we'll opt into the FE list. Just waiting for enough posts to pm about it. Do most folks make their own FEs or buy them online? Also, is there an official DIStag? I'm sure I would get answers to all my questions by searching and reading through tons of threads, but I think it helps to chat within the meet group about stuff like this. Helps you to get to know everyone.
