10/22/11 Parley!! Will this get me on the ship any faster?

We were on the Magic last year from 10/16-23 and they didn't do anything special for Halloween. However, this cruise is the week before, so I hope they'll do something special.

We were on the Magic for the next cruise 10/23/10-10/30/10 and the did have the halloween activities on our cruise as well as the following one. We have cruised the last week of October for the last six years. Some years they celebrated only the cruise that contained 10/31, some years they did on certain cruises, an one year (2009?) they did on every cruise in the month of October. Time will tell what they will do this year, but I would expect them to do it on our cruise.

Ahoy there! Mickey just came out into the terminal for pictures. The rain has held off here for now but I don't think Orlando is as lucky. I hope everyone is safe there - there was talk of possible tornados touching down there this morning. When we got here, we sat down next to some passenger who are doing a B2B and they just reboarded about 10 minutes ago. The terminal doesn't look any busier than usual right now.

Hi again! Sorry, I've been absent for awhile...stuff at the office has been keeping me too busy to think about our trip! I posted this question awhile back in the DCL general forum, but thought it might be more appropriate to post here...DBF Sean found some posting online about "Haunted Parties" onboard the Magic during October. Anyone know anything about this and if we might encounter it on our trip? The most recent info I could find about it was a few years old...also, I know we aren't cruising over ACTUAL Halloween, but close to it....?

I found a navigator from last year in someone's PTR (...I'll try to find it again to repost!), and it outlined the details, plus OP had tons of photos! DBF is pumped because they did an adult costume contest, and one of the prizes was for "Best Disney" costume...so he is planning on going all out! ...Not sure how we would pack costumes plus everything else, but we'll figure it out I guess!

There might be trick or treat for the kids, a theme night at one of the dinners and maybe a costume competition. But think it might be a week too early. We'll have to wait for DCL to make an announcement. In 2009, we got disembarked on 31st, and I can't remember if we had any Halloween events.
