10-21-12 Dream!!!

If you are on DVC points reservation you can book the ME on the member website very easily if you dont want to call member services. I did mine on Wednesday right after booking my flights.

i'm not DVC, but i think i can also change it online with my reservation number.

Now i'll be at WDW for only 2 days on my own and then my sister and mom fly down and i'll move over to the hotel where the conference is.

they arrive wed afternoon (i guess i'll pick them up from the airport).

i have tickets for the halloween party on thursday and originally, we were just going to go into the MK at 4 pm

but now my non-disney sister said that we should also go into a park in the morning and so we should buy tickets for that..

at first she was talking about the MK, but i said from 4 PM would be enough of the MK (for them that is)..

so now i'm trying to figure out which park to take them into for the morning

i was thinking either DHS or AK....

i have to go check the EMH hours to see if either of them should be avoided for that reason..

those who have been on DCL recently - can you walk me through what happens when you drive up to the terminal?

i'm going to drive a rental car and park it in the cruise terminal parking lot.

this is what i think happens, please correct me if i'm wrong.

1. Drive up to the gate of the terminal.

2. Show my ID to someone at the gate.
Do i need my cruise documents at this point as well?
Do i need to show everyone's ID at this point?

3. Drive in through the gate to the front of the building.
There will be a porter there to take my luggage (and i'll of course tip him/her)

4. Drive around to the entrance to the parking lot across the street.

5. Pay in advance? or get a ticket?

6. Drive up to the 3rd floor to the handicapped parking places near the bridge.

7. Walk across the bridge and cross security at some point.

8. Go to the check in counter.

Is that correct?

Check out Easywdw.com for suggestions on which park to do. Josh's recommendations are spot on, and his blogs are hysterical!

I'd like to know, too. It sounds like a lot has changed at the port since we last cruised!

Should we have gotten cruise documents in the mail? It seems like the last time we got info (packing list, itinerary, port info, documents to fill out) in the mail. I know you do most of that online now (and I've done the online stuff) but I'm feeling paranoid that I'm missing something!

I was going to mention this. It appears that with the recent change to the website the individualized materials that were sent are now available as a printable PDF. It is called Custom Pre-Arrival Guide.

It includes details specific to your reservation including the stateroom information as well as any adult dining, excursions, spa treatments, etc. that you have booked. There is also detailed information on driving directions, packing lists, details about the arrival at the port and lots of other guidelines.

Found it on accident but now seeing it do not imagine that DCL will send them by mail as well.

I printed mine and bound it with a cover. I guess I could mail it to myself for that last extra bit. Just an idea for anyone who is wanting to build up the excitement.......print it, bind it and mail it to you family. I am sure you could find a DCL logo image on line to decorate the envelope too!

funny!!

i haven't finished my online stuff yet..
most of it, but i haven't done the credit card yet - i have to get the info from my sister and mom, as i know they want separate credit cards for each of them...

once i get that in, i guess the pre-cruise info will become available for me..

i remember getting the documents - it came by fed-ex courier to us....i remember how excited we all were!

It's not too late to join, but please send all the requested information to me via the email address on that post.

I will also add you to the Roll Call.

Well I have already added you to the Roll call and as you can see you are now a part of the FE as well.

We are getting down to the 6 weeks mark as of tomorrow so I will be sharing some more information in hopes of generating some more excitement among all of us and rally getting some great posts and excitement going.

Looking at my FE list there is another 7 year old boy within our group so maybe the 2 of them will meet each other at the group meet on embarkation day and then perhaps hang out at the kids club together. That's one of the great things about this board, you meet people before you go.

Hi! My son is the other 7 year old. His name is Jack. I'm also happy to have another boy his age in the group! I can't believe we'll be meeting so soon! 6 weeks!!! Yahoo!

-Tricia

Hi Tricia! :wave2: Mateo is my son, He is a very outgoing boy - so I can't wait till he meets Jack! (Jack is my fave characters btw )

The last cruise I hardly ever saw my son. He LOVES the clubs - esp the Lab..So this cruise with the updates, I am sure he is going to be even more excited!

This week has been a great week for me - booked a cruise and I got an interview for a position doing the Food and Wine Fest at Epcot! I hope I don't jinx myself ... but I'm overly excited! :woohoo:

Does anyone snorkel? My son and I LOVE to do it and would love to be able to do it with more people!
