What is the Tour ?

Wonderful! We will be wearing white t-shirts that say "Jamborini" and we will either be enjoying adult beverages at Victoria Falls or on the Boma/Jiko Culinary tour, which starts at 3:45pm.

I have the feeling we'll be an easy group to find!!

I hope we will get the chance to meet you there! And please don't be shy about introducing yourself and joining the fun!

I so have to order my shirt.... Someone has to bug me about it until I do it... I don't have much time left. ughhhh

What is the Tour ?

The Culinary Tour is a (free) tour offered at AKL daily. The start time is 3:45pm and you can find it listed on the AKL Activities board by Bell Services (and there's another board by Boma).

Check-in at the Boma podium shortly before 3:45 to let them know you want to do the tour. (All the Jamborinis should be there ).

The tour (based on my experience last month) started at Boma with an explanation of the pods and what foods are offered. We were offered a sample of soup cloud9 and at the last pod, we each sampled a Zebra Dome!!! cloud9:)

The tour then moved to Jiko where we were given information about the theming of the restaurant and the menu, then we were able to sample the breads and dips cloud9:). The staff was willing to answer any questions we had.

The "tour" only lasts 20 to 30 minutes, and I definitely recommend it for anyone who has never eaten at Boma or Jiko, however it can also be a very nice social event!

On another common theme on this thread...I was just diagnosed with tendonitis in my left foot (wasn't that a movie? ) Hoping it gets better by THREE weeks from now.

OH NO!!! This is the year of the (injured) foot!

(Not to make light of anything, but at least you have the familiarity of the movie title! When I say "my right foot" it just sounds wrong!!! )

That's the size I got as well, and it's nice and comfy even after shrinking a bit. And Just stand next to me, I talk a lot with my hands, so there's bound to be a few spills/splashes/stains created at some point. Mark keeps pointing out how my 1y.o. niece and I both need bibs!

I think we'll need before and after photos of our group, pre-stain and post stain.

Thanks, I'm hoping so as well! At this point I'm just glad I didn't decide to do the 5k or anything like that. Still thinking about maybe doing the relay next year, but we'll see.

Yep, Martini, Mai Tai, Meritage, Malbec, Magnificat, I love "M" beverages! I used to love Margarita's but for some reason they no longer love me as much.

I think I like tequila for my pain management better, than gin martini's now if you are talking vodka martini's I am right there with you.

Definitely vodka - I still have not acquired a taste for gin.

me either, not a gin person. Vodka is good, and I went to the Vodka Museum in St Petersburg on my vacation and David and I tried a BUNCH of wonderfully smooth and clean vodkas... But I only brought one bottle home
