10/2/2011 Disney Dream 4nt

Just finished my FE gifts.....2 carryon's. WOW....now I have no where to put my clothes!

Since you went to D23, Did you happen to see the Robert Olszewsky prototype model of the Disney Dream in the Dream Store? It is supposed to be only sold on the Dream and we are wondering (hoping) it wil be available on this cruise!:sail:

No, I must have missed it. But I only went to the Dream Store on day one and was only there long enough to get my Tronorail and get out (seriously..crazy place).

DH and i might be going on this cruise too! Just called Disney to asked which cabins are still available. Very last minute but we both have off that week and our 29th anniversary is in October. Have been on the Magic twice and really want to go on the Dream. Going through all the info now, hopefully we will join you all on the cruise!

Cool! HOpe you decide to sail! It will be are 33rd anniversury.

:surfweb:

Ok, ALMOST done with the gifts, and checking the final list against one I had from before see that Tom and Lynn #9572 aren't listed? Just want to make extra extra sure!!!

That is correct. We are not participating in the FE. Sorry for any confusion.:confused3

Just thinking of where we will be two weeks from today....

I cant beleive its so close! I love cruising, my DH and I sailed with Carnival 2 years ago, but this is the first disney cruise and first cruise for our two girls. I cant wait!!

Hey,
I am going on this cruise. What are the cast member rates. We have a cat
11a gty. (I just changed this from a cat 11 b with a room number). Can I upgrade at a discounted rate?

You're not meant to discuss CM rates in public. You can look up the rates on the Disney Difference section of the Hub.

This is our first cruise and I am reading some of the post on this thread and I must ask..... WHAT ARE FEs? Is this something I need to bring for my family or my little girl, she is 2? Everyone let me "in" on the little things that I may not know about!

Thanks

We are so excited about our very first Disney Cruise! :dance3: We are traveling from Louisiana! Where is everyone else from?

we're from the City of Champions, land of the Black 'n Gold, the Steel City -- Pittsburgh PA!! The FE gifts are all packed up and ready to ship to the warehouse tomorrow - can't believe our vacation is almost HERE!!!

I've been to the Blues and Jazz Fest a few times, lots of fond memories - big fan of zydeco and LOVE NOLA!

FE's are Fish Extenders. Outside of your stateroom, there's a fish designed to hold travel documents and other information (such as claim forms) It seems that somewhere around 2005 a group of Disney cruisers came up with the idea to do a sort of 'secret santa' type of event that had now become Fish Extenders or FE's. In short, you make or bring something to hang from your fish (google FE 's for ideas) and then create gifts for each stateroom that participates.

Our group closed a month out so it's too late for this cruise, but now you'll know for the next time!

Thanks! Well now I know for next time! I just found out about this thread through my travel agent! Is there a fb page for our cruise as well?

Does everyone dress up for Pirate night? I have a little outfit for my little girl but I didn't know if my husband and I should dress up..... I don't want to be the odd couple dressed up or the odd couple not dressed up.....pirate:
