We had a couple different events that we collectively wanted to take place. The lady that started the thread was REALLY good at keeping a roll call. One of the ideas that was floated around was custom lanyards with the cruise "logo". By the time that that was decided, many of us where posting pictures of our families along with random stories of just daily therapy of the "wanting to get away".

You could be standing in a random line for anything in general and you could see people wearing their lanyard.
I forgot if I even told this story, but one of the "events/meets", was trying to secure the private room in Palo. We knew that those that were interested would want to meet on the sea day and where none of us had a character breakfast. It was a long shot. We all knew that. lol.
So the first thing I did when I got on board was head to get Palo reservation for the time we all talked about on Thursday.
DCL was fairly clear with us prior to the cruise that we couldn't reserve the Private room unless we had 12 people and I think at the time we only had like 8. Which was fine, we were all content to just enjoy our own family/friends if nothing could be worked out. Anyway, so I made a mention at the reservation desk that there were a group of us that would like to get together from theDisboards. And that was it really.
I was told that I think 3 other couples had mentioned something to him about it and that was it. (I really didn't think anything of it) I talked to another lady who was one of the "leaders/voluteers" of the group that she needed to make her reservations if she hadn't. (she hadn't) So she went and did that and asked to be seated with us. A day later I get a message from the manager of Palo that we will be seated with some of our friends and can we move our time. My wife and I didn't care. We just wanted to eat there.
Another day goes by and I get another message that they think they can accommodate the entire Disgroup. At this point, I think I had talked to a few people and the number was around 10. Two days later, we walked into Palo and we have 16 people there with my wife and I not counted. It turned out that 4 of them just saw a few that they recognized and sat accordingly with the big group. Since they were a family of 4, they gave up there seats for us. Completely kind.
One of the Dissers asked me how I managed to get the room. I told them that I thought it was someone else. To make a lot of conversations short, we figured that the staff at Palo figured it out and just "made it happen."
Here is a picture of the group:
You can see some of the orange lanyards in the picture.
