10/17 Wonder -- Are you sailing with us?!?

No....she was the one who perfectly sang the E-I-E-I-O each time! I can't wait to see how the pics turned out!

Sorry about not posting this earlier but we are back from our 10/17 cruise and it was “Wonder”ful.
As some of you know, we were upgraded from a Cat. 4 cabin to a Cat. 3 Concierge cabin.
My family and I invited all our “DIS” friends, who were joining us on the 10/17 cruise, to our cabin (# 8102) to help us celebrate our good fortune. We had about 20 DIS’ers in attendance and there was room for at least 40 more! No exaggeration! The veranda was big enough to play a game of half-court basketball. Not that we would because I coach Hockey and hockey is life!
To go along with the veranda, the cabin itself was first class. Beautiful wood, a full home entertainment system, more than enough room for a family of four and not to mention all the little perks that go along with the Concierge service. It was like we won the lottery . But the best thing about our cruise was meeting and talking with all the DIS members who stopped by. As I told everyone when we met you in our cabin, I probably will not remember your names but I will remember your faces and your friendship. Thank you all for coming and helping my family and I celebrate our good fortune.
To all of you who stopped by, I’ve got the pictures developed and put on CD. If I can find a way to post the picture of all of us I will.
For those of you who saw the David Morgan and Chuckie show Friday night, my DW was the one near Chuckie who sang Old McDonald’s “E-I-E-I-O“. She was wearing the Groucho Marks glasses. I might add she looked and sang beautifully!
Here is a partial list of our special friends who joined us on our cruise...

I’m sure I missed a lot of you so please let us know.

Coach,
That Old MacDonald song had me rollin in the aisles! I can't believe how many people don't know how that song goes! She did a great job with the EI EI O's!!! Can't wait to see the pictures! Thanks again for helping make our cruise a memorable one!

Coach,

It was so nice of you to share your good fortune with fellow DISer's. It will probably be the only time we get to see one of the Cat 3's. It was nice putting faces with screen names.

BTW- Did your daughter enjoy the parasailing???

Coach - Thanks for hosting the DIS meet in your wonderful room. You are right about that verandah - it was huge. I hope you got to use it!

albiats - We were looking for you in line at the terminal while we waited to board the ship. No wonder you weren't there! How hectic it must have been trying to get those birth certificates.

I don't know what I'd do if I got stuck with one pair of shoes for a cruise -- I always seem to have too many!

What a shame that seasickness struck part of your group. I always take Bonine the morning before the cruise and each day, and I have not had a problem yet. I am subject to motion sickness so I don't want to take any chances!

Are you going again in January? We booked a 7-day for March 2004 while onboard. Wow - talk about a countdown -- 500+ days away!!!

Ashley24 - Did you enjoy the dolphin swim? Did you buy the video and/or photo album?

I am already going through withdrawal -- anyone else ready to go back?

MickeyMagic -

It was a very hectic time with getting the documents the morning of the cruise. I thought our cruise was over before it started.

They wouldn't take Bonine or Dramamine as a preventive measure even though I read the label to them.

It looks like we'll have to cancel our January 2003 Western booking. My Mother isn't doing well and she's in a Rehab Center right now, might be released in a week or so. There isn't anyone else to stay with her if we're out of town.

It would have been nice to have met up with you and your DD again.

I must admit, I've looked at prices for various sailings already! We certainly can't afford one right now, but a girl can dream!

Actually, our next BIG vacation will be to Paradise Guest Ranch, WY in 2004. We promised our daughter we'd go then, so that is where our savings are going to.........unless Roger okays another cruise until then......oh yeah, I'm dreaming again:jester: !

The Dolphin Swim was great! I loved the foot push! Of course, I had to get it on video. I also bought one of their pictures plus I took a bunch myself with an underwater camera. A nice lady next to me took a bunch of pictures of me and Cliff together with my camera so that was great! I would definately recommend it!

my friend and I did Discovery Cove the day before the cruise. I have vouchers for free water proof disposable cameras if anyone is going to be doing this in the future. I would highly recommend this. I know it was pricey, but in my opinion, it was well worth the money!
